Christina Aguilera Channels Her “Dirrty” Era in a T-Shirt and Fishnet Ensemble
The comeback is real: Xtina’s “Dirrty” era is back in full swing. Christina Aguilera brought a Y2K vibe to a lively night out in San Francisco.
Clad in a green crop T-shirt, fishnet tights, and tiny black shorts, the pop icon, 44, looked like she just walked off the set of her legendary 2002 music video — but added a sporty twist for her outing at Holey Moley Golf Club.
Aguilera flaunted bold dark eyeliner and striking glam while posing for photos shared on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, September 30, showcasing her long, sleek platinum locks.
The “What a Girl Wants” artist tagged the venue, which features mini golf, snacks, drinks, and even private karaoke rooms, after posting pictures of herself on a bike.
This exciting night followed her spectacular performance at the 2025 Portola Music Festival, where she resurrected her “Dirrty” style in a leather bodysuit, embellished chaps, and cascading hair.
Aguilera expressed that filming her iconic music video over two decades ago remains a beloved memory, calling it “one of the best times” she’s ever had during the July 31 episode of the “Heart Evenings With Dev Griffin” podcast.
“I’d do it all over again and I’m proud I had the guts to wear the f***ing chaps. I love seeing it and I adore seeing people dress up in ‘Dirrty’ outfits with the chaps [on Halloween], the black and blonde hair,” she enthused. “I enjoy watching people reinvent and express their creativity with all my different artistic choices.”
Aguilera also set off another style trend this summer, sharing sizzling shots from a bold shoot where she posed by an ice cream truck.
The singer previously reflected on the criticism she faced regarding her hit single from her album Stripped that dominated the charts in 2002, revealing that she considered the backlash surrounding “Dirrty” to be unjust.
“I didn’t see anything wrong or offensive about ‘Dirrty’ at all,” she shared with Vogue, stating it symbolized her newfound confidence.
“I wanted this album to embody every facet of womanhood — from feeling empowered and confident to owning my sexuality, liberated from male expectations.”
Aguilera noted that women frequently grapple with unrealistic beauty standards, stating, “There’s a strict rulebook that dictates how we should look, act, and behave — be sexy, but not too sexy, be a good girl, but not overly so, as that’s dull.”
She further emphasized, “Society hands us this rulebook, which I’ve dealt with since childhood. As I matured, I realized you can either conform to the problem or break away and craft your own narrative.”
