Ciara Miller Dishes on ‘Traitors’: Phone Usage and Breakfast Theories Revealed

What occurs in Scotland doesn’t always remain in Scotland.

In an exclusive chat with Us Weekly, Ciara Miller shared insights about her experience on The Traitors, clarifying remarks she made during the season 9 Summer House premiere regarding her phone usage in the castle.

“You get your phone — I don’t even know — every six or seven days,” the 29-year-old reality star explained to Us, noting that she “thrived” without it. “But it’s all supervised, so you can’t access social media. You can only make a few phone calls, and if you send a text, they have to read it.”

As a Faithful, Ciara lasted eight episodes before she was “banished” during a roundtable because her fellow contestants mistakenly presumed she was a Traitor.

“Everyone owes me an apology. I’m entering [the reunion] ready for a showdown, like, ‘You owe me an apology!’ Because seriously, how was I a Traitor?” Ciara asked Us, speculating that the reunion for the Peacock series would be less complex than sorting things out with her Summer House castmates. “I think it probably won’t take as long.”

Additional behind-the-scenes insights revealed that the cast handles their own glam for the competition.

“I enjoy doing my makeup but I’m not fond of doing my hair. There were some mornings when I overslept and thought, ‘I need to get fully ready. … Can we please have a day off? I don’t want to do this,’” she chuckled as she recounted to Us. “However, the enjoyable part was dressing up. I don’t want to shop for another outfit, but if you lack strategy, having great hair, makeup, and outfits is a strategy of its own.”

Ciara mentioned that there was a packing list for the show, which helped the participants to be coordinated during tasks, like her now-famous “wedding” to Boston Rob (which included bugs and snakes!).

“Watching it, I thought, ‘This is revolting.’ I had my eyes shut the whole time. I hadn’t seen some of the bugs crawling on me … That’s genuinely insane. I’m so grateful I kept my eyes closed; I didn’t even realize there was a snake until later,” she recalled. “I was screaming, and they had to readjust the snake because it was coming too close to my face. I was like, ‘This is insanity. I’m never doing this again!’ I told them, ‘You better have filmed this in one take because I’m not doing it again.’”

Regarding another unforgettable moment, Ciara estimated that she spent about 30 minutes in the coffin during episode three, anxiously awaiting her fate.

“They break it up for filming … [But] I’m never going into a coffin again,” she stated. “I don’t want to go into a coffin before my time. It’s pretty creepy. I really dislike coffins. There was no lining; it was just a cold, wooden coffin. And I thought, ‘Really? I was wearing brand new leather boots,’ but nobody cared.”

It wouldn’t be The Traitors without the memorable breakfast scenes where the cast gathers each morning to learn who was murdered the night before.

“Breakfast is super stressful. You’re hungry but too anxious to eat. Plus, it’s just meat, cheeses, and croissants. It’s very adorable. I’m like, ‘Can I get a scrambled egg? Some hash browns?’ There’s none of that,” she reminisced.

Ciara also addressed Us’ speculation that the last three individuals at breakfast might be potential targets for the Traitors.

“Everyone enters [to eat] in different orders each time. It’s tricky to catch onto that pattern,” she explained. “At one point, we tried counting the chairs, but then they were like, ‘You guys are completely off. That’s not the way it works at all.’”

Summer House airs on Bravo Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET, while new episodes of The Traitors stream every Thursday at 9 p.m. ET.
