Cierra Ortega from Love Island USA Removes Lip Filler Following Criticism
Cierra Ortega has bid farewell to lip fillers, opting for a more understated and natural appearance.
The Love Island USA alum, 25, revealed her new lips on TikTok on Thursday, August 28, following fan criticism regarding her looks during season 7 of the popular show.
In the video, she showcased her lips while lip-syncing to Rihanna’s classic, “Breakin’ Dishes.” With a fresh and hydrated pout, Cierra opted for a makeup-free look with just a touch of gloss. Her straight brunette hair was worn down and styled back with a white headband.
“Chat I got my lips dissolved <3,” she captioned the video. “& I love them :*.”
Fans applauded her new appearance in the comments. “GIRL THIS WAS THE MOVE,” one user remarked, while another added, “Someone who takes criticism appropriately.” A third commenter declared, “WAR IS OVERRRR✨.”
Throughout the season, viewers expressed their straightforward opinions on her fillers via social media. “I genuinely can’t stand Cierra’s botched lips,” one user wrote in July, while others referred to memes about her, saying she had “duck lips.”
Cierra isn’t the only Love Island USA cast member facing criticism for her appearance. In July, Vanna Einerson addressed the negative remarks she was receiving while in Fiji, during an episode of “The Viall Files” podcast.
“Obviously [I’ve] been going through it and I didn’t even know,” Vanna, 21, recounted, mentioning that her mom advised her to avoid social media until they were back together.

“It was really hard to see all of it. I was in the hotel with Coco [Watson], and she was getting a lot of love while I was getting a lot of hate,” she explained. “I had a moment of breaking down. I’m honestly so grateful for Coco for being there; she sat and prayed for me.”
Vanna reassured listeners that she was “OK” after witnessing the hurtful comments, adding, “I’m very secure in myself.”
The reality star opened up about her past procedures, mentioning she had a breast augmentation and lip fillers but did not alter her chin or cheeks. She explained that her appearance looked “swollen” on the show as she had to sleep on a feathered pillow in the villa, which she is allergic to.
“I woke up every day [with] my whole face swollen,” she noted.
