Cleaning Lady Cast: What Are They Up to Now Following the Timothy Busfield Controversy?
Since The Cleaning Lady concluded on Fox, the series has been in the spotlight after executive producer and director Timothy Busfield was named in an arrest warrant — but what has happened to the rest of the cast since then?
Inspired by the 2017 Argentinian TV show La Chica Que Limpia, The Cleaning Lady debuted in 2022 and centered on Thony (Élodie Yung), a former surgeon living in the U.S. on an expired visa. To obtain bone marrow treatment for her son (Sebastien and Valentino LaSalle and Khalen Roman Sanchez), who suffered from a rare and life-threatening illness, Thony worked as a cleaner — until she witnessed a murder and became a cleaning lady and doctor for the mob.
Warner Bros. Television Studios secured the rights to remake the Spanish-language Argentine show La Chica Que Limpia in 2019, with Miranda Kwok onboard to develop the series adaptation alongside fellow executive producers Melissa Carter and Shay Mitchell.
Once the series was finalized, Carter took on the role of showrunner, but Kwok was promoted in season 2. Fox brought in Jeannine Renshaw as an executive producer and co-showrunner in the following season; however, neither Renshaw nor Kwok returned for season 4. The Cleaning Lady was subsequently helmed by Daniel Ceron as the new executive producer and showrunner, but the series ultimately did not receive a renewal.
In addition to showrunner transitions, multiple character deaths influenced the narrative direction of the series. After its conclusion in 2024, The Cleaning Lady made headlines again two years later when Busfield was named in an arrest warrant following accusations of child sexual abuse by two minors he worked with on set. The actor, who is married to Melissa Gilbert, was not apprehended right away and claimed during an investigation interview referenced in the arrest warrant that it was “highly unlikely” he had physical contact with the accusers.

Élodie Yung
Following her role as Thony, Yung secured a part in Worth the Wait. She has previously appeared in Love, Death & Robots, Daredevil, The Defenders, as well as French shows like Les Bleus and La vie devant nous.
Adan Canto
Canto, known for his role as Arman, had appearances in Designated Survivor, Second Chance, Blood & Oil, and The Following prior to The Cleaning Lady. He tragically passed away from appendiceal cancer in January 2024.
Oliver Hudson
Hudson’s character Garrett was unexpectedly killed off in season 2, shocking fans. Since then, he has appeared in And Just Like That…, Unprisoned, Gingerbread Land: The Biggest Little Holiday Competition, and The Three of Us. On the film front, Hudson starred in Happy Gilmore 2 and A Merry Little Ex-Mas.
Sebastien LaSalle
Sebastien and Valentino portrayed Thony’s son, Luca, in the first three seasons before the character was recast with Khalen Roman Sanchez.
Valentino LaSalle
Like his brother, Valentino has not taken on new projects since their stint on Fox’s The Cleaning Lady.
Eva De Dominici
De Dominici joined The Cleaning Lady in season 1 before receiving a promotion in later seasons. She has since featured in The Uninvited, Forge, Homo Argentum, and Balls Up.
Naveen Andrews
After joining in season 2, Andrews landed roles in Last King of the Cross and The Pradeeps of Pittsburgh. He has also appeared on the big screen in the 2025 film Last Days.
Kate del Castillo
Following her time on The Cleaning Lady, Del Castillo acted in Trap House, The Biggest Fan, and A Cuban Girl’s Guide to Tea and Tomorrow.
Santiago Cabrera
Cabrera has taken on a lead role in Land of Women since finishing up with The Cleaning Lady.
