Dakota and Elle Fanning Coordinate Their Looks on the Cover of Vanity Fair
Dakota and Elle Fanning are hitting the spotlight together.
The two sisters, Dakota, 31, and Elle, 27, graced the cover of Vanity Fair, released digitally on Tuesday, September 16. On the cover, they sported voluminous blonde hairstyles and striking red-and-white patterned bodysuits.
Elle wowed in a plunging design adorned with red stars, while Dakota opted for a striped variation. They paired their looks with low-waisted navy blue jeans and posed with white flowers near their faces, gazing into the camera.
Dakota showcased a bold makeup look featuring black eyeliner and bronzy eyeshadow, while Elle mirrored her sister’s style with nude lips. In another scene, the sisters matched in Buck Mason white baby tees paired with high-waisted skirts from Nina Lotan. They enhanced their looks with silver strappy Manolo Blahnik heels and strolled side-by-side, arms around each other, putting on their best pout for the camera.
The sisters also showcased their whimsical styles as they relaxed in a field. Elle donned a graceful Louis Vuitton dress with blue ruffles and a plunging neckline, resting her head in Dakota’s lap. Dakota wore a Chanel top featuring ruffles and a black bow at the collar, along with matching shorts.
In conversation with the magazine, Elle discussed their relationship. “When we were younger, we wanted to be seen as individuals, allowing each other space to find our paths,” she noted. “Now, as adults, it’s been rewarding to come together.”
Dakota commented that even though they share “a lot” between them, including a stylist and publicist, they remain “very different.”
“I don’t feel competitive, though I know some may doubt that,” she added.
Another shared venture for the sisters is *The Nightingale*, where they will both star and produce together, slated for release in February 2027.
