Dancing With the Stars 20th Anniversary Celebration: Who Was Eliminated?
Dancing With the Stars celebrated its 20th anniversary with balloons, streamers, and a grand celebration for the ballroom competition.
To kick off the episode on Tuesday, November 11, judge (and former professional dancer) Derek Hough crafted a breathtaking routine featuring the original six DWTS dancers from the inaugural season in 2005: Alec Mazo, Ashly DelGrosso, Jonathan Roberts, Charlotte Jorgensen, Edyta Śliwińska, and Louis van Amstel.
The quarterfinalists then showcased new routines inspired by the freestyle performances of previous DWTS champions. Robert Irwin movingly honored his sister Bindi Irwin’s season 21 tribute to their late father, Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin, bringing everyone to tears.
“Tonight was about the wildlife conservation legacy I represent,” Robert expressed emotionally just before receiving the season’s first perfect score. “Every time I step onto that floor, I represent my dad, his message, and what he stood for. I want to make him proud. He’s my hero.”
Following the first competition round, the stars (except for Whitney Leavitt, who gained immunity last week) swapped their pro partners for former mirrorball champions in the relay dances. Jordan Chiles, Dylan Efron, and Robert emerged victorious.
Despite their outstanding performances, Andy Richter and Emma Slater were sadly eliminated just before reaching the semifinals.
Dancing With the Stars airs on ABC and Disney+ Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET. Scroll down to see each couple’s scores from the 20th Birthday Party:
