When Hulu launched The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives in September 2024, it introduced viewers to Jen Affleck and her husband Zac Affleck, Demi Engemann and her spouse Bret Engemann, Whitney Leavitt and her husband Conner Leavitt, Mikayla Matthews and her spouse Jace Terry, Mayci Neeley and her husband Jacob Neely, Jessi Ngatikaura and her partner Jordan Ngatikaura, as well as Taylor Frankie Paul and her then-partner Dakota Mortensen, alongside Layla Taylor.

It didn’t take long for the show to unveil not only the realities of MomTok but also the personal lives of its cast. Besides marital troubles, Season 2 intensified things further when Demi’s encounters with Marciano Brunette led to claims that Jessi had an affair with the Vanderpump Villa star. (Jessi later confirmed she had an emotional affair, while Demi refuted any romantic involvement with Marciano.)

Taylor Frankie Paul

Taylor married Tate Paul in 2016 and they welcomed two children before their divorce in 2022. She later found love with Dakota Mortensen, with whom she has a son, but they have since parted ways.

Jen Affleck

Before joining the show, Jen and Zac began dating in 2018 and tied the knot a year later. After the arrival of their first two children, Jen and Zac featured on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and experienced a brief off-screen separation. They reconciled during Jen’s third pregnancy and welcomed daughter Penelope in July 2025.

Demi Engemann

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives depicts Demi’s marriage to Bret, whom she wed following her divorce from Blake Corbin. Demi and Blake were married from 2015 to 2020 and had a daughter, Maude, before their split.

Demi has been married to Bret since 2021.

Whitney Leavitt

During the season 1 premiere, Conner and Whitney moved back to Utah from Hawaii after Conner admitted to having a secret Tinder account to seek NSFW images. Married since 2016, the couple already had two children and worked together on their marriage before expanding their family for the third time.

Mikayla Matthews

Mikayla and her husband, Jace, married in 2018 shortly after welcoming their first child together. They have since welcomed three more children into their family.

Mayci Neeley

Before The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Mayci had a son, Hudson, with her ex-boyfriend Arik Mack, who tragically passed away in a car accident in 2015 before their child’s birth. Mayci later met her now-husband Jacob, with whom she has two daughters.

Jessi Ngatikaura

Jessi was previously married to Zac Gish from 2014 to 2019. After their divorce, Jessi began a relationship with her current husband, Jordan, and they have two children together.

Layla Taylor

Layla was married to Clayton Wessel, with whom she shares two sons, for three years before their divorce in 2023. She is currently in a relationship with Chase McWhorter.
