Dating History of ‘The Bear’ Cast: Jeremy Allen White and Others
The Bear cast has found more success in their romantic endeavors compared to their on-screen characters.
The Hulu series, which debuted in June 2022, centers around gifted chef Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) who returns to Chicago to manage his late brother Mikey’s (Jon Bernthal) restaurant after his passing. Season 1 chronicles Carmy’s efforts to keep the sandwich shop running while confronting his own sorrow over his brother’s suicide.
Fans were quick to speculate about the chemistry between Carmy and his sous chef Sydney (Ayo Edebiri), although the cast was not as enthusiastic about a potential romance.
“They both have a lot of trauma. If that were ever explored, I don’t think that window is open,” Edebiri exclusively told Us Weekly in January 2023. “But if it were to happen, there would need to be like two seasons just focused on them doing individual therapy before anything could develop.”
Edebiri mentioned that the series didn’t originally intend to pair the two coworkers romantically, saying, “When we were creating it, neither Jeremy nor I were considering that angle. It felt refreshing to engage in something different. There aren’t many platonic relationships between men and women on screen.”
Offscreen, the Bear cast has kept their love lives mostly private. White shared rare insights into his marriage with Addison Timlin, whom he married in 2019. However, Us confirmed in May 2023 that Timlin filed for divorce after three years of marriage.
