Denise Richards’ Surgeon Explains Her Facelift Procedure
Denise Richards’ plastic surgeon is detailing the steps he took during the actress’s recent facelift, following her before-and-after reveal.
Beverly Hills surgeon Dr. Ben Talei mentioned in a preview for his interview with Inside Edition on Monday, March 23, that Richards, 55, is “incredibly happy” with the results of her facelift.
He shared that the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star expressed, “I look like myself again” after her procedure.
Talei elaborated that to achieve Richards’ tighter appearance, he performed a “face and neck lift,” along with “a temporal brow restoration, repositioning the upper third of her face back into place.”
The surgeon informed the outlet that he also “recontoured the eyes” and performed a “cupid corner lift” by making an incision at the mouth’s side to enhance its appearance and give it a more youthful look.
He noted that the facelift surgery took four and a half hours to complete.
“[Denise] felt like her face just didn’t look like her anymore,” Talei explained regarding Richards’ motivation for the transformation. “She has the energy of a 12-year-old—she felt her appearance didn’t reflect how she feels inside anymore.”
Talei’s detailed explanation of Richards’ procedure followed a joint post he made with the actress just two days prior, showcasing dramatic before and after images from various angles.
The doctor described Richards as “one of the most lovely and beautiful people to ever walk this earth” in an Instagram post on Saturday, March 21. “It was a tremendous pleasure and honor to be trusted with her restoration while preserving her unique character and beauty.”
Talei emphasized that “Denise’s stunning, gorgeous eyes were restored rather than merely altered,” thanks to “many small adjustments” that most surgeons would overlook.
“Even her earlobes look improved from all angles. The sad or tired appearance surrounding the eyes and mouth has been neutralized and revitalized,” he mentioned. “Her neck and upper chest now radiate with the lift that I perform combined with the PHAT Skin™️ technique.”
The surgeon added that he utilized multiple techniques, including “muscle modulation and SMAS optimization,” to enhance Richards’ facial structure.
