Details of Taylor Williams’ Stunning Horse Accident: A Love Island Star’s Tale
Love Island star Taylor Williams is fortunate to be up and about after a serious incident involving a horse.
“Still walked out,” Williams shared on his Instagram Stories on Saturday, August 30, accompanied by footage of what appears to be a dramatic horse accident.
The reality TV personality was seen riding a horse when another rider suddenly crossed in front of him, causing the horse to trip and fall. As the horse went down, Williams was thrown off and ended up underneath the animal. (The average adult horse weighs between 1,100 and 1,300 pounds.)
While the horse managed to stand up again, Williams lay on the ground, seemingly unresponsive. Fortunately, as later confirmed on his Instagram, he is fine after the incident.
In a prior Instagram Stories post, Williams expressed gratitude to fans and friends for their supportive messages, sharing a photo of himself in what looked like a hospital setting.
“Preciate all the love! I’m all good,” he wrote over an image of himself on a stretcher with a neck brace. Despite being on oxygen and connected to a monitor, Williams managed to give a “thumbs up” to the camera. In fact, he felt well enough to attend a festive birthday party that same Saturday.
“Was in a horse accident last night but I’m still pulling up tonight injured and all!” he posted on his Stories alongside a flyer promoting his appearance at a club. “It’s my brother’s bday, yk we still turnt!”
Love Island USA season 7 contestant Jalen Brown reached out with his best wishes via Instagram, a post that Williams later shared on his own Stories.
“Sending all my prayers and positive vibes to @taylor_williams.3 for a speedy recovery,” Brown wrote, accompanied by a picture of a cowboy boot.
“Preciate it dawg,” Williams replied, along with a blue heart emoji.
Viewers got to know Williams during season 4 of Love Island USA, when he was initially paired with Olandria Carthen at Casa Amor. After exploring other options, Taylor chose Clarke Carraway. Fans of Carthen weren’t pleased, leading to Williams and Carraway receiving low votes in several viewer polls.
“I wasn’t surprised. I kind of expected it,” Williams told Us Weekly back in July regarding the audience’s reaction to their relationship. “I knew it was coming, so I just took it on the chin, was like, ‘S***, it is what it is.”
He added, “We pushed it aside so we wouldn’t focus on what everyone else thought. It’s about what we felt for each other and how we planned to move ahead. We didn’t dwell on it and think, ‘Oh, America hates us.’”
