King Charles III and Queen Camilla welcomed Stanley Tucci for a glamorous dinner at their Highgrove House estate on Friday, February 7 — and the culinary offerings were truly enticing.

The royal couple dined with Tucci, alongside David and Victoria Beckham, Helen Mirren, and Maria Grazia Lambertini, the Italian Ambassador to the U.K., in anticipation of the couple’s upcoming state visit to Italy in April.

The evening’s menu was crafted by chef Francesco Mazzei and was inspired by Tucci, who is known for his passion for food, according to a Buckingham Palace press release provided to Us Weekly.

Here’s a detailed look at the complete menu:

Reception

  • Rare and Pasture “Salumi”
  • Tuscan-Style Paté and Coppa
  • Yorkshire Pecorino Cheese Puffs
  • British Vegetable Caponata Tartelletta

Dinner

  • Scottish Crab Panzanella
  • Westcombe Ricotta
  • Highgrove Fine Herbs Ravioli
  • Isle of Wight Tomato Passata
  • Suffolk Red Porchetta
  • Pumpkin and Sage Mash
  • Tuscan Kale

Dessert

“This menu, created exclusively with British ingredients infused with Italian culinary traditions and local flavors, aims to truly reflect the principles of Slow Food,” the press release states, referring to the movement designed to champion fair and sustainable practices.

The monarch expressed that meals serve as a means of connection. “Good food unites people, and our food choices help to define us — as families, communities, and nations,” Charles remarked during his speech at the dinner.

“It nourishes us, but also provides comfort. It connects generations as recipes are handed down. It is a form of beauty — ‘edible art,’ as you have aptly put it, Stanley! And I am certain it will spark endless fascination and conversation around every Italian family dinner table tonight,” he added.
