Editing Error in Landman Following Billy Bob Thornton’s Full-Frontal Scene

Landman seems to have a potential editing — and continuity — error in a scene following Billy Bob Thornton‘s full-frontal moment.

In a December episode of the Paramount+ series, Tommy (Thornton) returned home after a tough day at work just in time for Angela’s (Ali Larter) renowned Norris family dinner. The rest of the family was already enjoying Taco Night, and there was a shot of Tommy’s plate featuring an omelette. The camera then shifted to Tommy, and upon returning to the table, there was no longer any food waiting for him.

The omelette resurfaced when Angela presented it to the table after Tommy took his seat nearly 10 minutes later. For fans of Taylor Sheridan’s acclaimed show, the breakfast item played a significant role in the episode, especially after a fight arose between Angela and Tommy regarding his accidental exposure to an employee at a hotel.

The hotel worker screamed when Tommy — who was still asleep — rolled over and inadvertently revealed himself. The woman requested that Tommy not “rape” her, prompting Angela to rush in from the bathroom.

“Put your d*** away!” Angela exclaimed to Tommy before turning her attention to the hotel employee. “Don’t be scared, darling. That wasn’t about you. He takes [prescription medication for erectile dysfunction] Cialis like M&Ms and runs into door jams all morning with that thing. I’m really sorry about that.”

Angela and Tommy began to argue once the woman left.

“I was trying to surprise you with breakfast in bed. … That is not the most flattering angle of your ball sack, I might add. You really have to love a man to see him from that perspective. Poor thing. If she wasn’t a lesbian when she walked in here, she’s definitely one now,” she remarked. “I’m getting dressed. My husband flashes the waitstaff, and that kind of kills the mood.”

Tommy, on the other hand, accused Angela of giving him “an extra pill” the night before.

“Now, what do I do with this f***ing thing?” he asked. “I might f*** the whole breakfast. The waffles, the fruit, the goddamn bagel and the omelette. That omelette is the first thing that’s getting f***ed. You better order another one because that one is f***ed.”

Later in the episode, Angela got back at Tommy by serving him an omelette for dinner. Fortunately, they managed to resolve their differences and were back in good standings before the credits rolled.

Season 2 of Landman still has a few episodes left, positioning Tommy as the new president of M-Tex. Before the finale, star Jacob Lofland shared exclusive insights with Us Weekly about what viewers can expect moving forward.

“There’s definitely some twists, turns, and surprises coming in the next episodes. There are a few things that I don’t think anyone sees coming. I definitely didn’t,” he teased last month. “There are some fantastic surprises — both good and bad — but everything will work out.”

He concluded: “That’s one thing about a Taylor [Sheridan] show. When things are going too smoothly, there’s usually something on the horizon. … I think everyone is going to be thrilled to watch the rest of the season.”

New episodes of Landman season 2 premiere on Paramount+ every Sunday.
