Elsie Hewitt Shows Off Baby Bump with Pete Davidson at Red Carpet Debut
Pete Davidson’s girlfriend, Elsie Hewitt, is on the journey to motherhood!
Davidson, 31, and Hewitt, 29, made their first appearance on the red carpet since sharing their pregnancy announcement at the premiere of Davidson’s action-comedy film, The Pickup, on Sunday, July 27. The model showcased her baby bump in a form-fitting black sleeveless dress paired with matching heels, standing proudly next to her boyfriend, who opted for a brown tracksuit from the sportswear brand Sergio Tacchini and casual sneakers.
Davidson lovingly placed one hand on Hewitt’s waist as they exchanged kisses and warm gazes.
This outing followed more than a week after Hewitt revealed on her Instagram, on July 16, that they are expecting their first child. She shared a series of photos and videos, including one where they were at a doctor’s office, watching a sonogram.
Davidson addressed the pregnancy rumors a few days later, stating to Entertainment Tonight on July 22 that he “couldn’t be more excited.”
“Ever since I was a kid, I’ve dreamed about this,” he said. “The baby’s mother is one of the most wonderful people I know. She’s going to be an amazing mom, and I’m just over the moon. I aspire to be the kind of dad I wished I had.”
Davidson’s father, Scott Davidson, was a firefighter who tragically lost his life during the September 11 attacks in 2001, when Pete was just 7 years old. During a 2020 interview with Charlamagne Tha God, Davidson expressed his desire to have a child to realize some of the experiences he missed growing up.
He elaborated on his parenting aspirations in a 2022 episode of Kevin Hart’s Hart to Heart on Peacock.
“I’m definitely a family person. My ultimate goal is to have a child someday. That’s my dream,” he mentioned. “I know it sounds cheesy, but it would be such a joy to dress up the little one. I’m preparing myself to be the best version of myself for when that day comes.”
Despite a source revealing to Us Weekly that Pete and Hewitt, who started dating in March, did not plan to have a family just yet, the couple is embracing this unexpected news with joy.
“Pete and Elsie didn’t intend to start a family at this stage, but they are ecstatic,” the insider remarked. “Their relationship is playful and strong.”
The source added that though Pete and Hewitt have been together for a relatively short period, they’ve become truly “inseparable.”
“This experience has strengthened their bond. It’s a positive relationship for Pete,” the insider noted. “He’s always wanted to be a father and feels this is the right time in his life. He couldn’t have handled it a few years back, but he’s in a different place now.”
The source also mentioned that Pete has “grown a lot” and “is having an excellent year with two upcoming films and a return to stand-up.” Meanwhile, he and Hewitt are “living together now and eagerly preparing for the baby, which has been a thrilling adventure for both of them.”
