Emily Ratajkowski Provides Update on Her ‘Worst Haircut Ever’
Emily Ratajkowski is working to make her new haircut a success.
On Friday, March 28, Ratajkowski, 33, took to social media to share an update about what she described as the “worst haircut” of her life, which featured “bangs starting from the back of [her] head.”
Initially, she tried blow-drying her “mullet” with the Dyson Airdrop but quickly found that it wasn’t working in her favor, leaving her fringe even shorter. “No,” she stated firmly, shaking her head.
Determined to improve her look, the model grabbed a small curling iron. “Apparently curling it hides bad haircuts,” she noted, yet found herself disappointed as the bangs became even shorter. Undeterred, Ratajkowski continued curling the rest of her hair.
“I knew it was a poor haircut when my friends were subtly worried about me going out and not being more upset. They were concerned for my mental well-being.” Ratajkowski mentioned that her friends considered her look “brave” and described her as a “thrill-seeker.”
After her curling iron session, Ratajkowski confessed that she wasn’t “mad” about her appearance because she’s always desired curly hair; however, she still felt dissatisfied. “No,” she reiterated. “One word I never want to hear again is ‘shaggy.’ It’s just too short, guys.”
While attempting to pin back sections of her hair, Ratajkowski relayed that a representative from Kérastase, a brand she represents, suggested the Strengthening Serum for Hair and Scalp from the Stronger Hair x Genesis collection, which aids in hair growth and prevents breakage.
Ratajkowski revealed her hair misadventure on TikTok on Tuesday, March 25. At that time, she humorously asked, “Is it giving member of the D.A.R.E.? Is it giving Karen O.? Is it giving Italian?”
Despite having previously collaborated with the hairstylist, the Gone Girl actress expressed to her followers that the result was far from what she had requested.
“The very nice man who did this to me, I think he was aiming for a British shaggy look, but the main issue is that it’s just not me,” she added.
