Everything You Need to Know About Alec and Hilaria Baldwin’s New TLC Series

Alec and Hilaria Baldwin are set to showcase their large family on TLC.

The duo initially revealed their forthcoming reality show, provisionally named “The Baldwins,” through a lively video featuring their children, which they posted on Instagram in June 2024.

“We’re welcoming you into our home to share in the highs and lows, the joys, the challenges, and the chaos,” states Alec Baldwin as clips highlight the couple’s seven energetic kids.

The clip, which playfully includes a comment about the couple’s “announcement” not being regarding another baby, concludes with the whole family—Carmen, Rafael, Leonardo, Romeo, Eduardo, María Lucía, and Ilaria—cuddled together on a couch.

“We are the Baldwins,” the family exclaims in unison.

“And we’re coming to TLC! God help you all,” jokes Alec Baldwin, who is also the father of an older daughter, Ireland Baldwin, 29, with his former wife, Kim Basinger.

The first official trailer for the show premiered on Jan. 27, 2025, featuring Hilaria Baldwin as she presents their family life: “Seven kids, six pets, two parents. A wild household.”

Here’s everything you need to know about “The Baldwins,” including its premiere date and content details.

When does ‘The Baldwins’ debut?

“The Baldwins” is set to debut on Sunday, Feb. 23 at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.

What will ‘The Baldwins’ entail?

The actor and his 41-year-old author and entrepreneur wife, who got married in 2012, aim to “bring viewers into their home filled with their seven growing children,” according to TLC’s press release from June 2024.

“For the first time, they’re opening up their family life to share the non-stop love, laughter, and moments of drama,” the channel added regarding the series.

As per a January 2025 statement from TLC, “The Baldwins” will chronicle the “challenges and humor associated with raising a large family in the spotlight.”

How ‘The Baldwins’ addresses Alec Baldwin’s legal issues

The announcement of the Baldwin’s reality series came five months after a New Mexico grand jury indicted Alec Baldwin on a single charge of involuntary manslaughter in January 2024, regarding the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, who passed away in 2021 due to a live round being fired from a prop gun on the set of “Rust.”

The actor, facing a potential 18-month prison sentence if convicted, pleaded not guilty shortly after the indictment. Baldwin insisted that he did not pull the trigger of the gun prior to it discharging.

The charges were dismissed in July 2024 by a judge who noted that the prosecution had failed to provide crucial evidence. Subsequently, Baldwin filed a civil suit for malicious prosecution and civil rights violations against special prosecutor Kari Morrissey, District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies, and other Santa Fe officials in January 2025.

Neither the Santa Fe District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies nor the sheriff’s office responded to TODAY.com’s request for remarks.

In March 2024, the film’s armorer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter and acquitted of tampering with evidence. She was sentenced to 18 months in prison in April, with plans to appeal her sentence.

The first trailer for “The Baldwins” released in January 2025 touches on the tragic incident almost immediately.

“A son lost his mom in an unimaginable tragedy. This is something we can never forget, and we are trying to navigate parenting through it,” Hilaria Baldwin says.

Without explicitly referencing the “Rust” incident, Alec Baldwin comments, “Honestly, from the bottom of my heart, I can’t imagine where I would be without you and these children.”

The filming coincided with the legal proceedings. The season premiere opens with Alec and Hilaria Baldwin celebrating their eldest son Rafael’s ninth birthday in June, amid the ongoing trial related to “Rust,” as outlined by TLC’s January press release.

“Alec and Hilaria tackle the emotional complexities of the situation while striving to provide as much stability for their children as possible,” the press statement indicates.
