Everything You Need to Know About the TV Adaptation of Jennette McCurdy’s “I’m Glad My Mom Died”
Jennette McCurdy’s challenging relationship with her late mother is the driving force behind an impending series — but what else should we know beyond the casting of Jennifer Aniston?
Jennette began her career as a child star on Nickelodeon’s iCarly, Sam & Cat, Zoey 101, True Jackson, VP, and Victorious. After a short foray into music and more mature roles, she ultimately decided to leave acting to focus on writing and directing.
In 2022, Jennette published a memoir titled I’m Glad My Mom Died, which quickly topped the bestseller lists for its raw portrayal of her childhood marred by her mother’s abusive behavior.
“It’s something I genuinely mean,” Jennette expressed to BuzzFeed News in August 2022 regarding her book’s title. “I truly am glad. If she were still alive, I would be trapped. I wouldn’t have been able to make any significant choices in my life.”
I’m Glad My Mom Died will also be adapted into a television series of the same name. Keep reading for all the details about the forthcoming Apple TV+ series:
