Exclusive Q&A: Palm Beach Stars Reveal Insights on Season 1

A fresh year of reality television is here, and viewers are abuzz about Members Only: Palm Beach.

Netflix’s new reality series showcases an upscale Florida city known for its exclusive clubs, high-end fashion, and charitable events.

As the cameras capture the action, Hilary Musser, Taja Abitbol, Rosalyn Yellin, Ro-mina Ustayev, and Maria Cozamanis dive into drama and display their vibrant personalities.

According to some cast members, feedback about the show has been overwhelmingly positive.

“I keep hearing how inspiring I am and how I stayed authentic to myself while wanting to fit in,” Ro-mina exclusively told Us Weekly. “People have always critiqued me for being too loud or wild, but at the end of the day, I’m simply myself.”

Taja chimed in, “I run businesses. I actually work. Many are just on Instagram all day. … I’m truly grateful for all the love and support I’ve received.”

As more viewers join in to discover a group of women who enjoy Mar-a-Lago visits and high society etiquette, Us had the opportunity to chat with two of the standout stars from the show.

Both Ro-mina and Taja quickly affirmed that the cast resides in Palm Beach County.

“No one ever claimed we live on Palm Beach Island,” Taja clarified. “We all reside in Palm Beach County. I mean, I do have a condo in Miami! That’s just how life is here— you should have a country clubhouse and a beach house.”

Ro-mina confirmed, “We all live in Palm Beach County. That’s really all there is to say. It’s Palm Beach County for me.”

What’s the Local Opinion on ‘Members Only: Palm Beach’?

In spite of claims that residents of Palm Beach are unhappy with the show, Taja stated that countless people were eager to attend her premiere event.

“They’re all envious, and absolutely, they’re all watching,” she asserted. “They’re binge-watching it and can’t get enough.”

Ro-mina elaborated, “I think there’s definitely support. Many people would love to be a part of a Netflix show, so there’s some jealousy, but I assure you, 100% are watching.”

Per Taja, Palm Beach is quite a “small community,” which allows the cast to connect with Trump easily.

“I have been linked to Donald Trump since our New York days. My son attended the same school as his son, and I went to the same school as him in Queens, as we grew up in the same neighborhood. I’ve also been a snowbird to the same place as him for my entire life. Our lifestyles align,” she shared.

Although Ro-mina is unsure if Trump watches the series, she speculates he would find it “entertaining, given that he enjoys being in the spotlight like some others.”

“Has he heard about it? I’m sure he knows a thing or two, given he’s met us. Rosalyn has met him countless times, and I’m positive he knows her by name. So, he might have caught wind of it, but whether he watches or not is uncertain,” she explained.

Why Do Cast Members Frequently Discuss Mar-a-Lago?

The iconic estate and luxury private club serves as a prominent topic throughout the first season of the Netflix series. Both Taja and Ro-mina rave about this Palm Beach landmark.

“It’s magnificent, resembling a castle. Who wouldn’t want to feel like royalty visiting a castle?” Ro-mina stated. “It’s a lavish, high-class venue. Plus, it just happens to be the president’s residence.”

Taja added, “Its architecture is stunning and spectacular. The property and gardens are absolutely breathtaking. Being at Mar-a-Lago gives you an indescribable feeling.”

Throughout season 1, several cast members criticized Ro-mina for not adhering to Palm Beach’s fashion norms, suggesting her outfits were overly revealing or inappropriate for certain occasions.

With time gone by, Ro-mina has affirmed her commitment to dressing how she prefers.

“I recognize that there are occasions that warrant a particular dress code,” the aspiring fashion designer stated. “I want to show respect, yet I will always stay true to who I am. That will never change. I believe there’s a distinction between being respectful and being authentic.”

In contrast to Bravo’s The Real Housewives franchise, Netflix does not plan to hold a reunion for the Members Only: Palm Beach cast.

Since production ended, Ro-mina mentioned that she has formed strong friendships.

“I consider myself closest with Maria and Rosalyn,” she shared. “We have a group chat and communicate daily about everything. My relationship with Maria is different from the one I have with Rosalyn, and it’s a lot of fun.”

Taja mentioned she is busy expanding Taja Drip. Concurrently, she stated, “I chat with Hilary often and with Maria too, but I just lack the time to meet up with them.”
