Exploring Emma Slater’s ‘Disciplined’ Diet During the DWTS Tour

Emma Slater embarked on the 2025 Dancing With the Stars Live tour with a focus on being mindful of her dietary choices.

“I’ve made the decision to be more disciplined regarding my eating habits while on tour,” Slater, 36, shared through her Instagram on Friday, March 21. “I noticed I was consuming a lot of sugar because it was readily available. Therefore, I initiated the carnivore diet.”

She further explained, “This is my personal journey. I appreciate hearing others’ thoughts, especially from those who have tried the carnivore diet. I’ve done it once before for a month and experienced numerous benefits, which included a significant boost in energy, weight loss, reduced sugar cravings, and even a decrease in brain fog.”

The carnivore diet is a strict and low-carb regimen where individuals consume only meat and animal products, eliminating fruits, vegetables, grains, and more. Research from Harvard Medical School categorizes the carnivore diet as a variation of the ketogenic “keto” diet.

“I want to clarify that I’m not promoting the carnivore diet for everyone without considering whether it’s suitable for them,” Slater remarked on Friday, acknowledging potential risks. “One essential thing for me is to drink plenty of water throughout the day to assist my body in breaking down the protein. This, along with listening to my body, is crucial for me.”

As of Friday, Slater had been on the program for six days.

“I feel amazing,” Slater mentioned, highlighting that her DWTS costar Alan Bersten is also following the same diet plan. “We had to purchase travel-sized electric pans, which adds a bit of adventure!!”

The DWTS mirrorball champion also shared images of her and Bersten’s meal prepping. For Day 6, they enjoyed chicken and hard-boiled eggs. The following day, Slater had a fried egg, bacon slices, and mini sausage links for her “breakfast/lunch.”

“On Day 7, I’m having my ‘breakfast/lunch’ outside in Reading, [Pennsylvania] while they tech inside the theater,” Slater shared in an Instagram Story video on Saturday, March 22. “It’s lovely.”

In a subsequent video, the British dancer explained how she and Bersten, 30, set up their electric pans in a makeshift “kitchen” outside the tour buses near the venue.
