Finalists: Streaming and Viewing Guide
The announcement for the 2024 Heisman Trophy winner, which honors the nation’s top college football athlete, is set for Saturday, December 14, during a ceremony in New York City.
Finalists were revealed on December 9, showcasing players from four different schools across four conferences: Dillon Gabriel, a senior quarterback from Oregon; Travis Hunter, a junior wide receiver and cornerback from Colorado; Ashton Jeanty, a junior running back from Boise State; and Cam Ward, a senior quarterback from Miami.
As per the Heisman Trophy Trust’s official site, the voting consists of ballots from media representatives, previous award winners, and an overall fan vote.
Last year, Jayden Daniels, the quarterback from Louisiana State University, won the accolade during his senior year, later being drafted second overall by the Washington Commanders.
Among the last decade’s winners, eight were quarterbacks, and all are now in the NFL.
Two of the Heisman finalists, Jeanty and Gabriel, will compete in the upcoming College Football Playoff representing Boise State and Oregon, respectively.
Miami did not qualify for the College Football Playoff and will face Iowa State in the Pop-Tarts Bowl.
Hunter is coached by NFL legend Deion Sanders, whose son, Shedeur Sanders, plays quarterback for the University of Colorado. Colorado is set to take on Brigham Young University in the Valero Alamo Bowl.
