FKA Twigs Cancels U.S. Tour and Withdraws from Coachella

FKA Twigs has regrettably announced that she must cancel her upcoming U.S. tour dates, which includes her performance at Coachella, due to “visa complications.”

On Friday, April 4, FKA Twigs (whose real name is Tahliah Debrett Barnett) released a statement via her X and Instagram accounts to relay the news.

“I’m heartbroken to announce that, due to persistent visa issues, I’m unable to complete any of my scheduled tour dates in North America for the remainder of April, including Ceremonia and Coachella,” she mentioned in her post.

The 37-year-old British singer expressed her sorrow over the situation and reassured her fans that she would find a way to make it up to them.

“It truly pains me to convey this since I was so eager to present an artistic creation that I have invested my heart and soul into, which I consider to be among my best work. I understand that this news affects many of you who had made arrangements and expenses to attend these shows,” FKA Twigs elaborated.

She added: “I assure you that I am actively working on rescheduling the affected dates as quickly as possible. For headline shows, please check your point of purchase for further details and refund information. I will keep you updated with more news as soon as I have any — in the meantime, here are some highlights from the show that we meticulously crafted ❤️”

Alongside her announcement, she shared a carousel of photographs showcasing her past performances.

FKA Twigs was scheduled to perform during weekends 1 and 2 at Coachella in Indio, California this month, along with an appearance at this weekend’s AXE Ceremonia in Mexico City. Additionally, she had planned shows in San Francisco and New York City later this month, all of which will now be canceled.

This announcement follows the withdrawal of Brazilian singer Anitta from Coachella, who cited “unforeseen personal reasons.”

“I was genuinely looking forward to attending Coachella this year; however, due to unexpected personal circumstances, I won’t be able to perform. I’m truly thankful for the festival’s invitation, their understanding, and ongoing support,” the 32-year-old singer stated in a message on March 20 via X.

She further expressed, “I hope to have the chance to join you all in the future and share that unique moment together.”

Lady Gaga, Green Day, Post Malone, and Travis Scott are headlining Coachella this year, which will be held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, across two weekends: April 11-13 and April 18-20.

Other artists on the lineup include Charli XCX, Missy Elliott and Megan Thee Stallion.
