Gabby Windey Makes Waves in “Love Overboard” Trailer
The Bachelorette’s Gabby Windey is gearing up to make waves in the reality TV scene as the host of Hulu’s new show, Love Overboard.
On Friday, March 13, the streaming platform unveiled the initial trailer for this exciting dating series.
“Sixteen of the most attractive singles are heading to a lavish yacht to find love,” Gabby, 35, states in the teaser. “While four couples enjoy a life of luxury on the upper deck, the remaining contestants will be working and living as crew on the lower deck.”
In a twist that’s quintessentially reality TV, those categorized as “downsiders” can ascend to the upper deck—but only if they manage to break up a couple.
“Some of you will discover love, while others may tumble from this plank behind me,” Gabby teases. “This journey is all about making connections. Expect some chaos.”
Footage captures contestants crying, complaining, and even discussing the dimensions of one male contestant’s anatomy.
Some participants can’t fathom having to do physical work while shooting a reality show.
“Why should I clean up after people I consider less attractive than myself?” one contestant wonders in tears.
Produced by Alex Cooper’s Unwell Productions, Love Overboard promises to showcase a dynamic cast eager to find romance and make unforgettable summer memories.
Contestants include Missouri’s own Reece, who identifies as a “water baby” after swapping cowboy boots for surfboards. On the other hand, Lexi, hailing from Tulare, California, has a close-knit Portuguese background and exchanged ranch life for coastal living, now treating Miami like her runway.
Meanwhile, Andrew is characterized by Hulu as a “charismatic, confident, and cocky” Wall Street mogul ready to turn his life around—possibly for the right girl.
While viewers might be meeting these contestants for the first time, many are already acquainted with Gabby.
In 2022, Gabby and Rachel Recchia were announced as co-leads for the 19th season of The Bachelorette. Gabby also featured in season 3 of The Traitors.
“Pack your bags and wear your life preserver,” she says in the trailer, “because this yacht is about to set sail.”
A special preview of Love Overboard will air on ABC Sunday, March 22, at 10 p.m. ET, following the premiere of Taylor Frankie Paul’s season of The Bachelorette. The official launch of Love Overboard is scheduled for Thursday, March 26, on Hulu.
