George Clooney Reveals His Twins Are Eager to Meet Taylor Swift

George Clooney‘s twins, Alexander and Ella, have already developed an impressive taste in music — with hopes of encountering their favorite artist, Taylor Swift.

“They want to meet Taylor Swift,” George, 64, shared with E! News during an interview on Sunday, June 8, while attending the 2025 Tonys red carpet. “The amusing part is that they don’t recognize many icons. Robert De Niro might be at the house, and they’re like, ‘Who’s that?’ They just don’t care.”

Swift, 35, captivated audiences worldwide with her Eras tour from 2023 to 2024, attracting celebrities to her vibrant, must-see performances globally. While George acknowledged that his kids may not be well-versed in the legends of the entertainment industry, Alexander and Ella certainly seem to be in tune with contemporary music and film trends.

The actor shares his 8-year-old twins with his wife, human rights lawyer Amal Clooney, and it looks like the kids are also excited about another major pop culture event from last year — Wicked. The second part of the film, featuring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, is set to premiere in theaters on November 21, and George’s kids can hardly wait to see it.

George Clooney’s wife, Amal Clooney, had a valid reason for missing the official opening of the actor’s Broadway play. Speaking to reporters on the Thursday, April 3, red carpet, George, 63, mentioned that Amal, 47, was “with the kids.” George’s Broadway play, Good Night, and Good Luck, officially premiered at New York City’s Winter Garden […]

“They can’t wait for the sequel,” George said regarding his kids’ enthusiasm for the fantasy film franchise.

It was a significant evening for the actor at the Tonys, as he received a nomination for Best Actor in a Play for Good Night, and Good Luck. Although he didn’t win (the award went to Cole Escola for their role in Oh, Mary!), he garnered accolades and impressive ratings from viewers who tuned in to the broadcast of the Broadway show, which aired on CNN on June 7. The broadcast attracted 7.34 million global viewers, a remarkable feat.

George dyed his hair black for the portrayal of Edward R. Murrow, a choice that he noted his family was not particularly fond of.

“My wife is going to dislike it because nothing makes you look older than an older man dyeing his hair,” he confessed to The New York Times in a February 20 interview.

“My kids will just laugh at me endlessly,” George added.

He also acknowledged that the new hair color wasn’t his “favorite look.”

“My wife finds it amusing,” he mentioned during an appearance on CBS Mornings in April. “Honestly, nothing makes you look older than being 63 and dyeing your hair.”

To the delight of his family, George returned to his signature salt-and-pepper style for the Tonys.

“I had to remove it all with a weed whacker to get rid of it,” he joked. “That black hair dye, I had to cut it out. You can’t color that.”

Aside from the hair jokes, George was all smiles on the red carpet, also commending his wife for her unwavering support and her own achievements.

“I have this amazing partner whom I couldn’t be prouder of,” the actor expressed. “She’s the bravest person I’ve ever met. I am so proud of her, and the fact that she takes pride in me, I can’t believe how fortunate I am.”
