Georgina Rodriguez Dons Hilary Swank’s Oscars Gown at the White House

Georgina Rodríguez draws fashion inspiration from the best.

Rodríguez, 31, who is engaged to soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo, took to Instagram on Wednesday, November 19, to showcase the outfit she wore for a recent dinner at the White House. She shared a photo of a navy blue dress hanging from a doorway and followed it up with a shot of Hilary Swank sporting the same design at the 2005 Oscars.

The stunning Guy Laroche dress featured long sleeves, a high neckline, a fitted bodice, and a flowing skirt. Its standout element was a completely open back that plunged to her hips, complemented by a pleated train.

For her glam, Rodríguez opted for a full look, crafted by celebrity makeup artist Patrick Ta. The makeup included a dewy foundation, rosy cheeks, and a highlighter applied to her high points. Her eye makeup was soft yet glamorous, with a bronze shade blended into her crease and tapped onto her eyelids. She finished the look with filled-in brows, lengthy lashes, and glossy lips.

While Ta worked on her makeup, hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos styled her hair into a slicked-back updo, parted to the side and elegantly twisted into a bun.

Rodríguez added a hint of glamour with diamond and sapphire earrings.

When Swank wore the same look, she also opted for soft brown eyeshadow and glossy lips, accessorized with diamond earrings. Like Rodríguez, Swank kept her hair in an updo, allowing the dress to shine.

Previously, Rodríguez made headlines for her stunning engagement ring from Ronaldo, 50.

In August, she shared a photo of her massive ring on Instagram, showcasing an oval diamond with side stones set on a silver band.

Following the announcement, engagement ring expert Laura Taylor detailed the ring’s features to Us Weekly.

“[Her] engagement ring is an extraordinary piece, featuring what appears to be an oval-cut diamond in the 15 to 20 carat range,” Taylor explained. “The centerpiece is flanked by substantial side diamonds, enhancing its brilliance and making the main stone look even larger.”

She added that “if the diamond is natural and of exceptional quality in the D-F color range with flawless or near-flawless clarity, its value could easily exceed around $2 million.”

Neil Dutta, managing director of Angelic Diamonds, informed Us that he estimated the ring’s size to be even greater, at around 30 carats.

“A ring of this quality could be valued between $3.7 million to $4.9 million,” Dutta remarked. “It rivals some of the most extravagant celebrity engagement rings, from Beyoncé to Kim Kardashian, and after [eight years] together, it has certainly been worth the wait.”

Ronaldo and Rodríguez began dating in 2016 and have welcomed three children together.

The Al-Nassr star welcomed his first son, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., now 15, in 2010, though he has never publicly disclosed the identity of his mother. In 2017, he became a father to twins Eva and Mateo, now 8, via surrogate, around the same time he started dating Rodríguez.

Weeks after the twins’ arrival, the couple announced Rodríguez’s pregnancy, resulting in the birth of Alana, now 8. In 2021, they revealed they were expecting twins; however, they tragically shared that their daughter, Bella, now 3, was born healthy, while their son, Ángel, passed away.

“With deepest sadness, we announce that our baby boy has passed away,” Ronaldo expressed via Instagram at the time. “It is the greatest pain any parent can feel.”
