Ginna Dix met Dixie Dix in 2000, the same year she obtained her bachelor’s degree in nursing, and the couple married the following year, her obituary stated.

After many years as a registered nurse in Maine, Ginna Dix achieved a Master of Science in nursing from Purdue University in January 2018, becoming a nurse practitioner.

Her obituary also highlighted her love for spending quality time with her husband and their three dogs, Quimby, Dodge, and Asher.

“Ginna took delight in summer days at the beach and snowmobiling through the winter woods,” the obituary mentioned. “She cherished her moments ‘up to camp’ surrounded by family and friends, enjoying music and a glass of Prosecco on Saturday mornings. Often, she would be found quietly sitting on the couch with her dogs, a robust cup of coffee in hand, engrossed in a good book.”

Ryan Eldridge, co-star of “Maine Cabin Masters” and a lifelong friend of the couple, paid tribute to Ginna Dix in an Instagram post on February 5 Instagram tribute.

“We were born on the same day two years apart, our parents were best friends, and you married my best friend,” Eldridge wrote, accompanied by a nostalgic photo of the trio and another of him and Ginna from their youth.

Eldridge reminisced about Ginna being “one of the boys” during their childhood, recalling days spent riding bicycles inside the house at Iron Mine Hill, and growing into a “strong, no-nonsense woman.”

“I will never forget the time I accidentally hit you with a tennis racket, and you gave me that unforgettable look as you calmly walked to inform our parents,” he reminisced.

He also remembered attending “the night you and Matty locked eyes and were dancing on the countertops.”

He concluded, “You have been a significant part of my life since the very beginning and left us far too soon, but your impact in this world will always be remembered. I love you, Gin!”
