Giuliana Rancic Joins Forces with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to Advocate for Animal Rights
Giuliana Rancic is leveraging her platform to shed light on the issue of animal abuse within the United States.
“A small gathering of animal advocates and cabinet officials convened in Washington, DC yesterday to establish a working group aimed at creating a safer environment for our dogs,” Rancic, 51, shared via Instagram on Thursday, December 18. “We met at the Department of Justice because justice is what our dogs desperately need right now.”
Joined by Lara Trump, Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and other political figures, Rancic outlined her mission to advocate for animal protection across the nation.
“We can no longer sit back and witness the terrible abuse many dogs suffer. From illegal dog fighting to unregulated breeding at puppy mills, inhumane laboratory testing, and neglect on our streets, coupled with a flawed shelter system that euthanizes adoptable dogs at alarming rates, the current system is failing them,” she expressed. “It’s time for genuine change. Sometimes, to effect change, it’s necessary to reach out to those at the top.”
Rancic added, “Decades of a broken system won’t be resolved overnight, but it only takes a single day to form an alliance, make a commitment, and initiate focused efforts — supported by a comprehensive administration-wide strategy — to ensure our cherished pets receive the action they deserve.”
Fans first connected with Rancic during her tenure as an entertainment host for E! News. In May 2021, she announced her departure from E!’s live red carpet coverage to focus on various projects, including her acclaimed home and fashion lines at HSN.
Following her announcement about her new mission, Rancic garnered support from numerous followers.

“Absolutely amazing!!! Wonderful team!!!” Giuliana’s husband, Bill Rancic, commented. HSN host Sarah Timm added, “❤️🙌😍Fantastic!!! I’m so thrilled you were part of this!!”
Earlier in the year, Giuliana made headlines by collaborating with Wings of Rescue, a nonprofit focused on providing free flights for rescue pets, successfully arranging for 109 dogs from overcrowded California shelters to be flown to rescues with availability for adoptable pets.
“Overcrowded shelters are euthanizing healthy, adoptable dogs often just due to a lack of ‘space,’ which is deeply saddening,” Giuliana told People at that time. “While filming a segment at PAWS Chicago to showcase the work of rescue organizations, I began fostering, eventually adopting my first rescue dog, FiFi. The more I understood about the shelter crisis, the more personal it became.”
As 2025 approaches, Giuliana remains optimistic about her team and believes that positive changes for animals are on the horizon.
“Thank you for including me @laraleatrump,” she expressed on Instagram. “And @blairbrandt, for hosting us all @agpambondi, along with your crucial contributions @secrollins @robertfkennedyjr & @lauree.simmons of @bigdogranchrescue.”
In another social media post, Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins remarked, “Protecting animals means taking action, and today we’re doing just that!”
