Gordon Ramsay Praises Sourdough While Celebrating Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce

Gordon Ramsay surprising Swifties was not something we expected in 2025 — yet Taylor Swift’s passion for sourdough has forged a connection between them.

“I know a thing or two about a sourdough,” Ramsay, 58, posted on Instagram on Thursday, August 14. “Just saying @taylorswift and @killatrav 😉.”

The renowned chef showcased a beautifully baked sourdough loaf, demonstrating its light and airy interior for the camera.

Ramsay gave a shout-out to Swift, 35, and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, tagging them in his video. He also included a mention of Travis, 35, and Jason Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast, which was excited to be part of the conversation.

Taylor Swift couldn’t contain her admiration for Travis Kelce’s family — particularly brother Jason Kelce’s four daughters — during her appearance on the “New Heights” podcast. The Grammy winner, 35, shared insights about her connection with the loved ones of the 35-year-old NFL star on her debut episode on August 13.

Travis acknowledged Ramsay’s comment on their shared baking interest with a slew of emojis: “😂😂😂🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🍞🍞,” the Kansas City Chiefs tight end wrote in the comments.

The “New Heights” podcast’s official Instagram responded with a playful Swift pun, saying, “Are you bready for it?”

Fans were thrilled to see the Hell’s Kitchen star take note of Swift’s new “granny s***” hobby of baking bread and immediately called for a collaboration between the two.

“Are you bready for it? 🖤 Absolutely ready for a Taylor and Gordon collaboration 🤭🫶🏼,” one fan exclaimed in the comments.

Another wrote, “Gordon, if this leads to a collab with @taylorswift and @killatrav, I’ll bring the starter.”

Ramsay’s endorsement of sourdough came just a day after Swift made her podcast debut on “New Heights” to promote her upcoming 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl.

During her talk, Swift touched on her new music — the album releases on October 3 — while also giving fans a glimpse into her life at home with Travis, following their public romance debut in fall 2023.

“I find myself obsessed with baking every six months,” the Grammy winner shared on the August 13 podcast. “Currently, I am deeply entrenched in a sourdough obsession that has taken over my life.”

Swift revealed that Travis loves her sourdough so much he had her send two loaves to Chiefs training camp. She’s also sent loaves to friends, including Selena Gomez and her fiancé, Benny Blanco.)

“Sourdough has become an enormous part of my life. I’m talking about bread 60% of the time now,” she said with a laugh. “It’s a significant element.”

Swift mentioned some popular flavors, including blueberry lemon, cinnamon swirl, and cinnamon raisin. She’s also experimenting with a Funfetti loaf for Jason, 37, and Kylie Kelce’s daughters, Wyatt, 5, Ellie, 4, Bennett, 2, and Finn, 4 months.

“They adore sprinkles. We put sprinkles in everything when we spend time together,” she noted regarding her colorful sourdough idea.

Travis confirmed he’s all for dating a bread enthusiast. “She’s a loafer for life now,” he joked.

Swift later admitted that things have gotten “pretty crazy” with her sourdough passion at home. “I’m actively engaged in sourdough blogs. There’s a whole community of us,” she shared.

While talking to Jason, Swift mentioned that Travis had made his own loaf, and it was good, but the former Philadelphia Eagles player wasn’t convinced.

“No way it’s as good as Taylor’s,” Jason remarked, prompting Swift to share some of the puns she uses when gifting her bread to friends and family.

She chuckled, “You say, ‘Are you bready for it?’” adding that “It’s a loaf story, baby just say yeast” or “loafing him was bread” could work too.
