Grayson Chrisley: Embracing College Life and Family After Reality TV
Todd and Julie Chrisley’s youngest son has matured significantly since the family began sharing their lives on Chrisley Knows Best.
Grayson was just 7 years old when his family started filming their reality show. (Todd and Julie have been married since 1996 and are also parents to Savannah, Chase, and Chloe, the latter being the biological daughter of Todd’s son Kyle. Additionally, Todd has two other children from a prior marriage.)
“I don’t know anything different,” Grayson mentioned about growing up on television during a 2022 episode of Savannah’s “Unlocked” podcast. “I didn’t really get it at the time, because I felt like I had no choice. It was fun back then since I didn’t understand. As I grew older, I started to realize, ‘Oh, I have to do this.’”
Chrisley Knows Best ended its run in November 2022 after 10 seasons following Todd and Julie’s conviction for fraud. After they began serving their sentences, Savannah took custody of her younger siblings, Grayson and Chloe. In fact, she was the one who sent Grayson off to college in 2025.
“You are going to the University of Alabama. You were so thrilled when you got accepted,” Savannah told Grayson during a December 2024 podcast episode. “You graduated high school a semester early, so you’re starting in January. He’s actually entering college early with college credits as well. … [It’s] absolutely incredible to accomplish this, and we couldn’t have done it without [his teachers].”

Nearly three years into their prison sentences, Todd and Julie received presidential pardons in June 2025. They returned to their Tennessee home just in time for Father’s Day.
“Man, where do I even begin? Today marks the first time in about three years we can actually celebrate,” Grayson shared on Instagram. “Happy Father’s Day to the man I admire and who has always been there for me, even in his hardest times. I truly don’t know how you manage to always say and do the right things or how you come out on top. I pray every day that I can become at least half the man you are.”

Education
Grayson completed high school through online education.
“Oaks Christian School has been amazing for Grayson,” Savannah said on her podcast in 2024, referring to the Los Angeles-based private school he attended virtually. “It’s been such a blessing, especially for kids who travel or prefer homeschooling. It’s really beneficial.”
After graduating, Grayson enrolled at the University of Alabama with the class of 2028, starting in January 2025.
“It was good. I wasn’t as homesick as I thought I’d be,” he mentioned during a February 2025 episode of “Unlocked,” joking that Savannah kept sending “more” Target packages for his dorm. “[I’m] overly prepared. It did make my room feel smaller compared to my friends’.”
Campus Life
During his podcast appearance in 2025, Grayson shared insights into his campus experience.
“I love everything about it,” he said enthusiastically. “I’ve been going to basketball games. We’re ranked No. 4 in the country, and we excel in everything.”
Beyond attending extracurricular activities and connecting with peers, Grayson is committed to his studies. He jokingly added that he only missed one class, and he has “not a single” complaint about his school experience.
Family Bonds
Even after moving away for college, Grayson remains close to his siblings.
“[I miss home] a little bit,” he expressed on the 2025 podcast.
During school breaks, Savannah would often bring him to visit their parents while they served their time.
“She’s so eager to see you and hear all about what you’ve been up to,” Savannah mentioned in February 2025 about their mom, Julie.
Grayson felt particularly emotional when both of his parents were released from prison following their pardons.
“He came in and asked, ‘Can I sleep with you tonight?’” Todd shared during a July 2025 interview on Fox News. “I replied, ‘Of course.’”
Savannah added that Grayson expressed being “scared to go to sleep” out of concern that Todd and Julie might not be there when he woke up.
“The best part is just being together,” Grayson reflected at the time. “You often take these moments for granted when they’re home, and then realizing it could all change in an instant makes it mean so much more.”
