Gwen Stefani Looks Unrecognizable Without Her Signature Red Lipstick
Gwen Stefani without her signature red lipstick is akin to peanut butter missing jelly, salt devoid of pepper, or cake lacking icing. It’s no surprise that the mother of three appeared almost unrecognizable while walking through New York City on November 15.
The No Doubt frontwoman sported straight blond hair with a center part, donning a plaid shirt paired with a mini corduroy skirt, fishnet tights, and an oversized shearling bomber jacket, completing her look with cowboy boots.
Surrounded by cameras while shooting a new project, Gwen beamed after a hectic day of publicity for her latest album, Bouquet.
Earlier that same day, she was seen with her entourage riding the New York subway, clad in a black mini skirt, a cropped white t-shirt, and a fur jacket, along with suede knee-high boots, yet again forgoing her iconic red lips.
Bouquet marks Gwen’s fifth studio album and her first since 2017’s You Make It Feel Like Christmas, featuring the duet “Purple Irises” alongside her husband Blake Shelton.
Gwen and Blake have collaborated on three tracks together; they tied the knot in 2021 after meeting as mentors on the NBC series The Voice.
They have successfully blended their families, with Gwen being a mother to sons Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo. The couple was spotted earlier this month cheering for her youngest at a football game.
For the game, Gwen, 55, chose a colorful striped t-shirt with ripped blue jeans and beige shoes, styling her bright blonde hair in a tight bun. Middle son Zuma was also there to support his brother.
“If I could relive these past 10 years, that would be perfect,” Blake stated in April 2024, reflecting on the past decade and the joy of watching his stepsons grow.
“Next month, we’ll have an 18-year-old, which completely blows my mind,” he remarked about Kingston, adding, “And in just a couple of years, we’ll have another 18-year-old. That’s… it will mean a lot more alone time, which I’m not opposed to either.”
He added humorously, “But we still have Apollo, so we have nearly 10 years left before we can send him off, which should be quite entertaining.”
Blake has also commended his father for providing a solid example of how to parent a stepchild, having raised Blake’s older brother, the late Richie, from a young age when Blake’s mother, Dorothy, married Dick Shelton.
“He embraced Richie from the moment he was one, and my brother never saw my dad as anything but his father,” he shared.
“The lesson my dad taught me was that a child’s presence shouldn’t be a factor in a romantic relationship. ‘You have three boys? Fantastic!’ That was my dad’s approach.”
