The NFL’s AFC East division features the Buffalo Bills, New York Jets, New England Patriots, and Miami Dolphins. However, if you ask Hailee Steinfeld, it’s all about the Bills, who are headed by her fiancé, Josh Allen, with the other teams seen as just background players.

During a segment of Truth or Wear with the celebrity fashion site Who What Wear, Steinfeld, 28, accepted a challenge to take their football IQ quiz.

One of the quiz questions asked her to name the four teams in the AFC East.

“You’ve got the Buffalo Bills,” she started, “and then the Bills’ three other offspring.”

Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen initially kept their relationship under wraps starting in May 2023, before revealing their engagement less than two years later. Speculation about their romance arose shortly after fans noticed that Allen’s longtime girlfriend, Brittany Williams, unfollowed him on social media in April 2023. Williams then proceeded to clear her Instagram of all contents.

Her playful remarks contain a kernel of truth, as the Bills have dominated the AFC East by securing the last five division titles, showcasing a stark contrast to the struggling Patriots post-Tom Brady era.

Quarterback Allen has been the driving force behind the Bills’ success. The 28-year-old was awarded the 2024 NFL MVP and has achieved All-Pro status three times in the last five years. During this period, despite a 24-year playoff drought between 1995 and 2019, the Bills have clinched eight playoff victories.

Additionally, Steinfeld demonstrated her football knowledge by correctly stating that a roughing the passer penalty incurs a 15-yard penalty and identifying the Super Bowl trophy as the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

In addition to her accolades as an actress and singer, Hailee Steinfeld has now attained the status of NFL royalty. A new billboard in Buffalo, New York, was unveiled to congratulate the couple on their recent engagement, declaring them as the city’s king and queen. “The Queen City has a new queen,” the billboard proclaimed, as reported by […]

While the Bills are still pursuing their first Lombardi Trophy, Steinfeld has supported Allen through his past two division championships. The couple began dating in 2023, and the Edge of Seventeen star has been consistently seen at Bills games since then.

Their engagement was announced in November 2024 through a joint Instagram post featuring a touching photo of Allen proposing in front of a flower arch at sunset by the ocean.

Allen shared insights into the proposal in December 2024 within Steinfeld’s “Beau Society” newsletter.

“I said, ‘I couldn’t wait any longer.’ I said, ‘I can’t wait to start a family with you.’ I said your full name, and I asked you very nicely. I said ‘please,’” he detailed.

Earlier this month, Steinfeld and Allen made their red carpet debut at the 2025 NFL Honors ceremony, where Allen received his MVP award, and Steinfeld proudly showcased her dazzling diamond engagement ring.

During his acceptance speech, Allen took a moment to acknowledge Steinfeld.

“You’ve been my rock. You are my best friend [and] I would not be standing on this stage if it weren’t for you,” he expressed. “So, with that being said, be good, do good, God bless and Go Bills.”
