Heather Rae El Moussa Returns to Selling Sunset!
Selling Sunset is reintroducing some familiar faces for season 10 — but will Heather Rae El Moussa be among them?
An insider has told Us Weekly that Heather, aged 38, will return for the upcoming season after leaving the show in 2023.
Us Weekly has reached out to both Netflix and Heather’s representative for further comments.
News of Heather’s return follows the exclusive confirmation from Us that Christine Quinn is also making her comeback to the show after nearly four years away. (Christine, 37, left the series in 2022, with her last episode airing that April.)
A source previously informed Us that filming for season 10 was “supposed to start,” but production has faced “delays as they are waiting for [Christine] to finalize negotiations.”
Along with Heather and Christine returning, several cast members, including Chrishell Stause, Nicole Young, and Chelsea Lazkani, are expected to exit, according to the insider.
Chrishell, 44, commented on her exit in November 2025, stating to Bustle, “It’s no longer good for my mental health.”
In addition to Heather and Christine, a new real estate agent, Tara Sarbaz, will join the cast. An insider previously shared with Us that she will be “full-time and has previously worked with Jason [Oppenheim].”
As fans of Selling Sunset are aware, both Heather and Christine were part of the original cast since it launched in 2019.
They were joined by Chrishell, Mary Fitzgerald Bonnet, Maya Vander, and Davina Potratz, all working at L.A.’s Oppenheim Group, co-owned by twin brothers Jason and Brett Oppenheim.
With season 10 approaching, only Mary, 45, remains from the original cast, but she hinted in January that she might also leave depending on “the dynamic in the office.”
“It depends on the level of toxicity that they’re allowing,” Mary remarked during an appearance on the “Casual Chaos” podcast.
Heather acknowledged her initial exit from Selling Sunset in November 2023 after appearing in the season 7 premiere and then being absent for the remainder of the season.
“Everything happens how it’s meant to 🤍….. And we all have a plan,” Heather wrote on Instagram at that time. “It’s bittersweet to not be part of SS anymore. However, I know that good or bad, I wouldn’t change my experiences.”
The following year, Heather reflected on her departure from the reality series, noting significant changes from season 1 to season 7.
“Initially, it was all fun, without the crazy drama. We were friends, and any drama was simple,” she shared during an April 2024 appearance on “The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast.” “Then things escalated drastically. They began adding more women, making it out of control.”
Heather also commented that the filming hours, which could stretch from 12 to 14 hours on some days, were quite “brutal.”
“They keep demanding more and more, and as you’ve seen on the show, I was generally levelheaded throughout. I maintained friendships with everyone and kept my life pretty chill,” she said.
Heather concluded, “It’s a very toxic environment. You’re surrounded by women who all want to be the stars of the show, and they’ll do just about anything to get there.”
Despite the challenges she faced, Heather did make a cameo during season 9 in 2025.
This brief appearance came after she gained recognition on HGTV in The Flipping El Moussas alongside her husband, Tarek El Moussa. In 2025, she also starred in The Flip Off with Tarek, 44, and his ex-wife, Christina Haack.
Selling Sunset is now streaming on Netflix.
