HGTV Shows Renewed or Canceled Due to Schedule Changes

Fans of HGTV are left wondering about the future of their beloved shows as the network undergoes unexpected scheduling changes. Which programs are secure, and which ones have been axed?

Traditionally, HGTV has been the go-to channel for viewers seeking home improvement and real estate content, but its broad programming lineup took a blow when five shows were pulled off the air in June 2025. While the network has not publicly commented on the upheaval, various hosts have shared their thoughts on the shocking cancellations.

As fans speculate about the fate of their favorite shows, some programs find themselves in a more ambiguous situation. For instance, Rehab Addict‘s Nicole Curtis addressed concerns in June 2025 after her show suddenly became unavailable.

“I made the executive decision to pause the rest of our new shows until fall. I appreciate your support and understanding for the late notice,” Curtis expressed on Instagram at the time. “Producing a show requires a significant amount of time (my time), and my family and I decided — why should we forgo summer when we can do this in the fall?”

The latest season of Rehab Addict launched that month but was quickly replaced by My Lottery Dream Home after just two episodes.

“Thank you to the decision-makers at HGTV who supported our idea. I can honestly say I’m thrilled with this choice since I spent the day with a dead phone and no worries,” Curtis continued. “They are airing Lottery Dream Home in my place.”

She concluded: “Fun fact, [Lottery Dream Home host] David Bromstad was my beach buddy during my pregnancy while we filmed and lived next to each other in Gulf Shores, Alabama, for Beach Flip. So, please don’t spread rumors that he replaced me — I made the choice.”

HGTV icons like Property Brothers stars Drew and Jonathan Scott also experienced some setbacks, while Bobby Berk from Netflix’s Queer Eye celebrated the continuation of his show amidst the programming shifts.
