High Potential Season 2: Meet the Cast Featuring Newcomer Steve Howey!
High Potential is welcoming new cast members ahead of its second season — but who are they portraying?
The popular ABC series, which debuted in September 2024, centers around a highly intelligent individual named Morgan (Kaitlin Olson) who collaborates with the LAPD to help crack murder cases. She partners with Karadec (Daniel Sunjata), who is initially doubtful about her contributions to the Major Crimes unit but gradually begins to depend on her insights.
Before the show’s return for a second season, executive producer and showrunner Todd Harthan spoke exclusively with Us Weekly about enhancing the storylines.
“The most crucial aspect we focus on in the writers’ room is creating a captivating case that allows viewers to experience Morgan’s complex thought processes,” he shared at the time. “This is complemented by the amazing detectives around her. We recognize the audience’s strong appetite for serialized mysteries, but the challenge lies in ensuring that this element doesn’t overshadow the intriguing cases the audience looks forward to each week.”
Harthan added, “Striking that balance is challenging, which is why we have a dedicated team to help us maintain integrity. They remind me, ‘If we disclose that, the next episode will be overshadowed, disrupting the balance.’ It’s a tricky aspect of constructing each episode.”
Increasing the stakes on-screen has also introduced new characters, including Steve Howey as a recurring cast member. Keep reading to discover the full cast of season 2:
