Now entering its 151st year, the Kentucky Derby is a prestigious horse race held at the Churchill Downs race track in Louisville, Kentucky.

It’s a longstanding tradition for the Kentucky Derby to occur on the first Saturday of May each year, and this year, it will take place on Saturday, May 3.

How and where to watch the 2025 Kentucky Derby

Fans can enjoy live coverage of all Derby Day festivities on NBC Sports starting at noon ET on the USA Network and Peacock, with NBC and Peacock joining in at 2:30 p.m. ET.
