How Zach Bryan’s Wife Samantha Paid Tribute to His Late Mother with Her Wedding Ensemble

Zach Bryan’s new wife, Samantha Leonard, found a heartfelt way to honor his late mother, Annette DeAnn Bryan (née Mullen), on their wedding day.

“Samantha made a special effort to incorporate my mom’s wedding dress lace into her own gown, and it brought me to tears. It meant the world to me, sweetheart, thank you,” the country singer, 29, shared on his Instagram Stories on January 5, showcasing the delicate fabric with its floral trim being added to his wife’s dress.

“I wish you were here right now, gorgeous,” he added as a follow-up, posting a picture of Annette in her wedding dress, complete with a stunning white veil and a delicate necklace.

Annette passed away in August 2016, leaving Zach to express his grief with a touching Instagram post.

“My mom was my best friend. I would call her every morning at 6 am on my way to work, and she would check in with me every night after my workout, asking, ‘How many miles did you run today?’ She understood me better than I understood myself, and better than anyone ever will,” he expressed at that time. “She kept me out of a lot of trouble and was always my shelter from the storm. I could share countless cliches and reasons why I loved her, but I’ll spare you the novel.”

The “Pink Skies” singer described his mother as a “beautiful woman with a heart full of kind words and smiles she generously shared with me,” adding, “Every memory and every moment is forever etched in my soul.”

He also paid homage through his music by naming his first studio album, DeAnn.

Zach is basking in newlywed joy after sparking rumors when a video surfaced of him carrying Leonard, 28, in his arms following what appeared to be a romantic wedding in Spain.

He officially confirmed the news on December 31, posting a black-and-white image of the couple leaving the venue, giving a first look at her strapless white bridal gown adorned with feathers. He was dressed in a tuxedo for the significant occasion.

The couple was first romantically linked in August 2025, one year after his breakup with Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia, with whom he dated from the summer of 2023 until the fall of 2024.

He expressed his love for his new partner on Instagram in October 2025, writing, “From bull runs to all the craziness, today is your birthday and I love you, Samantha Marie.”

“To the only woman who can hike six miles in Chanel flats, skydive over the Alps, and out-fish me all in one day,” he continued. “I hope your day was as graceful as you are.”
