Influencer Couple Carlo and Sarah Announce Pregnancy After Previous Miscarriage
Influencer duo Carlo Longo and Sarah Mollica are thrilled to announce they are expecting a rainbow baby less than a year after experiencing a pregnancy loss.
“Our miracle baby,” Carlo and Sarah, both 28, shared on Instagram on Thursday, December 25, posting maternity photos in front of a beautifully decorated Christmas tree. “Our little love. Baby Longo is on the way 🤍.”
In a follow-up social media video, the couple revealed the moment Sarah found out she was pregnant.
“It is? It is!” Carlo exclaimed when he saw a positive pregnancy test, later adorably calling Sarah “a beautiful mama” while capturing her baby bump.
On her personal Instagram Story, Sarah expressed, “All I’ve ever wanted.”
Carlo and Sarah began their relationship in 2019 after meeting during her family vacation in Italy. Overcoming initial language barriers, they quickly fell in love and tied the knot in July 2021.
The influencers, who often showcase their multicultural romance on Instagram and TikTok, shared earlier this year that Sarah had a miscarriage.
“Our baby. Our greatest love & our biggest heartbreak,” she wrote on Instagram in August. “We prayed for you every second of every day. Growing you and being your home was my biggest blessing in life. Though we lost you, you made us stronger. You’ll forever be a part of us and our story. You will always be ours. Our baby.”
Sarah continued, “Addressing such a personal, realistic, and devastating life event with so many people can be frightening, but what’s scarier is enduring it alone. One in four pregnancies ends in loss. For anyone currently experiencing this or who has gone through it, know that I am here for you. I feel you. I am you.”
Sarah later shared in a YouTube video that she discovered her pregnancy in June. During an eight-week ultrasound, Sarah and Carlo learned there was no fetal heartbeat.
“When [the] heartbeat stops, your body ceases hormone production, but it doesn’t recognize the loss,” Sarah explained. “I had no bleeding, no cramping, and I still had symptoms. … Having Carlo with me, I tell him often that I wouldn’t have gone through any of this without him.”
Carlo emphasized the importance of supporting Sarah during such a challenging period.
“If I could share one piece of advice, it’s to stay close to your partner if they are going through this, because it’s incredibly important,” the Italian influencer advised. “It’s hard to understand, especially for your partner. You know you’re the mother; you have a stronger bond — they grow inside you. So, it’s a bit different. Just know they will be forever grateful if you remain close, as they truly need it.”
Following Sarah and Carlo’s pregnancy announcement, numerous fellow influencers sent their best wishes for a smooth journey ahead.
“GUYSSSS!!! Congratulations!!!! This is the best news ever,” Jessi Higgins enthusiastically commented on Instagram. “Wishing you the most peaceful and blessed Christmas with your little one! ♥️♥️♥️.”
Olivia McNeil added, “Merry Christmas!! What an amazing blessing!! So happy for you both!”
