Influencer Jazmyn Smith Opens Up About Her Heartbreaking Miscarriage

Influencer Jazmyn Smith has opened up about her recent miscarriage.

“Recently, Kevin and I were thrilled to discover that I was pregnant. I was beyond excited,” Smith shared in a YouTube video on Monday, February 16. “Sadly, I began experiencing a miscarriage just yesterday. It’s incredibly difficult and the timing couldn’t be worse.”

While vacationing in Turks and Caicos, Smith mentioned she spent the entire weekend “crying every free moment.” When Callari asked if they should return home, Smith explained her choice to stay.

“I told him, ‘If we go home right now, I’ll just end up crying in bed.’ Honestly, there’s nothing I can do to change it. I felt that being with our friends on this trip would be beneficial for me. Although I’m not OK, I hope being here will be comforting,” she added. “I’m incredibly sad because I was looking forward to this, but there’s nothing I can do.”

“I worry about getting pregnant again because I’m constantly thinking, ‘What if it happens again?’ That certainly doesn’t help my anxiety,” she disclosed.

“But in situations like this, I’m fully confident I chose the right partner for me,” she continued. “Seeing how he handles tough times reassures me about our relationship.”

Smith also mentioned it was “unfortunate” that some social media users were commenting about whether she had a “bump,” adding, “I’m like, ‘If you could please stop.’”

At the end of her video, Smith included clips from the moment she and Callari discovered her pregnancy.

Influencer McKenna Barry is navigating her own unexpected pregnancy loss after several years of trying to conceive. On December 14, McKenna posted on Instagram about the loss of her unborn child, saying, “Our world came crashing down last night as our little one decided it wasn’t time to join us…”

“Kevin, how do you feel about becoming a dad?” Smith asked Callari. He responded, “I’m excited. I’m not really scared. I’m not sure why; I don’t think there will be any surprises.”

In her video caption, Smith explained why she included the footage of them discovering her pregnancy.

“If you watched the entire vlog, you saw I sadly experienced a miscarriage, and I’m no longer pregnant. However, I wanted to keep the footage because it brings me joy to look back on, even if things didn’t go as we hoped,” she wrote. “Since I don’t archive my vlogs, YouTube serves as my hard drive. I hope that moving forward, people can refrain from making assumptions or comments about our family planning journey.”

She added, “I enjoy sharing my life and will announce when we’re fortunate enough to have a family when we’re prepared. But I hope this serves as a reminder that such comments can deeply affect others, and you never know what someone else may be experiencing.”
