Influencer Kate Mackz and her husband Jermey Werden are growing their family.
On Tuesday, February 3, the 28-year-old TikTok star took to Instagram to share the exciting news that she and Werden are expecting their first child. In a series of photos, Mackz donned a white baby tee and flowy pants, proudly showcasing her baby bump. In one photo, she shared a sweet kiss with her pet cat while Werden knelt beside her, holding up pastel pink Converse shoes to her bump.
“The most unexpected blessing coming this June. God’s plan 🤍,” Mackz wrote in her caption. “We’re ready for you, baby girl 💕🥹.”
The runner smiled brightly for the camera, matching Mackz in a white T-shirt and blue jeans, both accessorized with silver jewelry—Mackz’s ring and earrings complemented Werden’s watch.
As fans swiped to the next photo, they were greeted with an adorable image of their cat posing next to Mackz’s sonogram.
Mackz wrapped up her post by standing in front of her pool, snuggled close to Werden, who gently kissed her forehead while holding the sonogram.
Fans and influencer friends flooded the comments with congratulations.
“COME ON NOW! CONGRATS! See you on the road with our running strollers 🙌🏻,” wrote Jordan Litz. Amanda McCants expressed excitement, stating, “This is so exciting!!!” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, who faced criticism for her interview with Mackz in May 2025, also commented, “Congratulations! Motherhood is the best thing in life!”
Werden joined in the celebration, stating, “Excited for JP to have a sister and to grow our family ❤️❤️.” (JP is short for their cat’s name, Jean Pierre.)
The couple tied the knot in September 2025, and in November, Mackz shared highlights from their wedding on Instagram, saying, “A quick running break on marathon weekend for a few photos from one of our favorite weekends.” She added, “Love you so much, can’t wait to grow our family together 🩵.” Mackz has previously shared with Us Weekly about her journey in creating a platform for running and interviewing notable figures like Lindsay Hubbard, Jason Derulo, Julianne Hough, Tim Gunn, and others.
“We’ve completed over 300 interviews, creating countless unforgettable moments and experiencing amazing places through our shows,” she reminisced. “My first major collaboration was with Bobby Flay; we ran together along the West Side Highway and then cooked pasta together. Since then, the adventures have only increase.”
Mackz continued to express her delight, calling the experience “incredible.” “It’s such a joy to interview a variety of people and engage in different activities with them. It’s pretty wild to think of everything we’ve been able to accomplish,” she shared.
Addressing the backlash from her interview with Leavitt, Mackz reflected, “It really comes down to sharing people’s stories from all walks of life. It’s incredible when certain stories resonate with others.” She concluded, “As an interviewer, it’s gratifying to hear when a story connects with someone.”
