Influencers Stacey Tourout and Matthew Yeomans Pass Away in Tragic Accident

Influencers Stacey Tourout and Matthew Yeomans have tragically passed away following an off-roading accident.

The news was shared by the couple’s family on Monday, August 11, along with a photograph of them smiling in front of a mountain backdrop.

“With profound sorrow, the families of Matthew Peter Yeomans and Stacey Tourout would like to announce that we lost both of them on August 7, 2025, as a result of injuries from an off-road accident in the beautiful British Columbia mountains that they cherished,” the statement posted on Facebook read.

The message went on, “Please keep us and them in your thoughts and prayers as we cope with this heartbreaking conclusion to an incredible love story. They are together forever, just as we knew they would be.”

The couple, known for their YouTube channel Toyota World Runners with over 200,000 subscribers, had their deaths confirmed by Kaslo Search and Rescue (SAR), according to the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC).

Kaslo SAR stated that they were dispatched to the site of an off-road vehicle incident at about 7:30 PM local time on August 7.

“It occurred on a forestry road, situated quite a distance north in the valley towards the village of Trout Lake,” said Mark Jennings-Bates, a manager with Kaslo SAR, adding that they had a precise location for the incident.

He continued, “Our teams were able to reach them efficiently. It was a long journey, but they made it effectively. That allowed the helicopter pilot to fly straight to the site, confident that they would find them.”

Jennings-Bates reported that one of the victims was found without vital signs in the vehicle, while the other was taken to the hospital and later succumbed to their injuries. He was uncertain if the couple was filming during the accident.

While the exact cause of the accident remains unclear, Jennings-Bates suspects there was a loss of control on the terrain.

The couple, who got engaged in 2024, shared their last Instagram post just days prior to their deaths. “Really just soaking up all of these Vancouver island summer vibes,” the caption read. “Our first summer in a few years where we get to experience the changing seasons and the joy the sun brings us soggy rainforest dogs as we come out of hiding.”
