Inside Madonna’s Walk-In Closet: Exploring Her Luxurious Couture Collection
Madonna welcomed a fortunate fan to explore her stunning walk-in closet.
Fashion influencer Lyas captured the entire experience with Madonna at her New York City residence, sharing the video on Instagram on Thursday, May 8. The clip showcases Lyas and the “Ray of Light” artist talking about the transformation of fashion.
Wearing a tailored white suit crafted by Tom Ford and Haider Ackermann for the Met Gala, Madonna enjoyed a cigar while reminiscing about attending classic runway shows by designers John Galliano and Jean Paul Gaultier in Paris.
“Those were the best [days]. They’ll never be like that again,” Madonna, 66, reflected. “[Fashion] has changed so much. I felt really special going to a fashion show … I miss that deep dive into culture that used to be part of fashion shows. I don’t think people have the luxury to do that anymore.”
When asked if it’s “better to be gay to work in fashion,” Madonna confidently replied, “It’s a must. What are you talking about? If you’re not gay and you’re working in fashion, you need to become gay.”
As they explored the future of fashion, viewers were treated to an exclusive look inside a truly remarkable walk-in closet, filled with racks of couture pieces that could rival any collection worldwide.
This stunning footage follows Madonna’s recent display of affection for her rumored boyfriend, 29-year-old footballer Akeem Morris, celebrating his birthday. The couple were first linked in 2024 after enjoying the July 4 holiday together.
Recently, Madonna celebrated a significant milestone by reconciling her long-standing feud with Elton John. The two made amends when Elton performed on Saturday Night Live in April.
“I remembered sneaking out of the house in high school to see Elton perform live in Detroit! It was an unforgettable experience that helped me appreciate the transformative power of music,” Madonna shared on Instagram. “Seeing him perform during my teen years changed the trajectory of my life. I always felt like an outsider growing up, and watching him on stage taught me that it’s okay to be different — to stand out — and take the road less traveled. In fact, it’s essential.”
The iconic artist continued, “Over the years, it hurt to know someone I admired so deeply publicly expressed his dislike for me as an artist. It baffled me. When I learned Elton John was the musical guest on SNL, I made it a point to go and confront him. When we met, the first thing he said was, ‘Forgive Me,’ and the barrier between us fell. Forgiveness is a powerful tool. Within minutes, we were hugging.”
Madonna even hinted at a possible musical collaboration with Elton after he disclosed that he had written a new song just for her. Known for his dynamic musical partnerships, Elton recently released the album Who Believes in Angels? alongside country music star Brandi Carlile.
