Issa Rae’s Most Stunning Fashion Moments: A Photo Collection
We can’t help but admire the style of Issa Rae!
During the promotion of her HBO series Rap Sh!t in July 2022, the actress and producer dazzled in a variety of vibrant outfits that inspired Us to incorporate more colors, textures, and patterns into our summer fashion.
On her appearance on The View, the California native shone in a complete white ensemble from Peter Do. The outfit featured a classic button-up shirt paired with a chic pleated skirt, finished off with strappy white sandals for a monochromatic look.
A few days prior, at the show’s premiere in Los Angeles, the Insecure star looked stunning in a glossy emerald mini dress by The Sei. She complemented the look with hoop earrings and metallic heels.
While the comedian has been dominating the fashion scene in summer 2022, she’s no stranger to red carpet glamour. At the Insecure season 5 premiere in October 2021, Rae turned heads in a feather-trimmed midi dress by the London-based fashion house Rokh. The stylish dress featured daring cutouts at the bodice and shoulders.
Later that month, Rae shined on the red carpet at the 73rd Emmy Awards in a custom metallic gown by Aliette NY.
Her glamour is equally impressive. The Lovebirds star’s makeup is effortlessly soft yet striking, thanks to Dior Matte foundation, BeautyBlender liquid concealer, and Fenty Beauty’s setting powder, as shared by her makeup artist Joanna Simkin with Coveteur in 2021.
The author of The Awkward Black Girl also enjoys experimenting with various hairstyles. Rae often showcases box braids, twist outs, sleek ponytails, and retro curls.
In 2021, it was revealed that Rae became a co-owner of the haircare line Sienna Naturals, founded by Hannah Diop. Together, they rebranded the line to cater to Afro-textured hair. “Hair has always been a significant part of my identity,” Rae shared with Allure at that time.
She further stated: “Ingredients are vital, especially considering that past products I’ve used primarily focused on styling. For me, it’s crucial to focus on caring for your hair from the roots, ensuring your scalp is healthy, understanding the ingredients, and avoiding manipulation of your natural texture or existing scalp oils.”
