Jack Wagner Makes Comeback to Bold and the Beautiful as Brooke and Ridge Face Separation

Jack Wagner is set to return to his beloved character from The Bold and the Beautiful, more than twenty years after his debut on the iconic soap opera.

The 65-year-old actor will reprise his role as Nick Marone in episodes beginning mid-June, as reported by Deadline on Thursday, April 10. The report reveals that Wagner has already returned to set and started filming on the same day.

Wagner portrayed Nick on The Bold and the Beautiful from 2003 until 2012, with his most recent appearance during the soap’s 35th anniversary special in 2022.

Nick’s anticipated return coincides with the unraveling of fan-favorite couple Brooke Logan (played by Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), whose long-standing on-again, off-again relationship appears to be coming to an end—possibly for good this time.

During his previous tenure on the show, Nick was romantically involved with Brooke. His unexpected comeback to Los Angeles may present an opportunity for Brooke to finally move on from Ridge and reignite their past romance.

Additionally, Nick’s return could create tensions for Ridge, with whom he has shared a complex history. While he has sometimes been an ally to Ridge, his romantic interest in Brooke has frequently led to conflict.

Currently, Wagner stars in the Hallmark Channel series When Calls The Heart and recently credited Lang, acknowledging the significant impact of his scene partners on the success of the shows he has been part of in his career.

“The success of [When Calls the Heart] can be attributed to Erin Krakow, our lead actress. I’ve always believed this about every show I’ve been on,” Wagner shared with Us. “It includes Heather [Locklear] from Melrose and The Bold and the Beautiful with Katherine Kelly Lang.”

The Bold and the Beautiful debuted in 1987 and has since chronicled the ongoing saga of the Forrester and Logan families. Over several generations, these families have faced numerous conflicts, with the characters of Brooke and Ridge at the heart of many dramatic storylines. Lang has portrayed Brooke since the show’s inception in the ’80s.

In a recent conversation with Us Weekly, actress Heather Tom, who has portrayed Katie Lang since 2007, reflected on the show’s enduring legacy and its impact on fans.

“It’s like Romeo and Juliet, right? A house divided. The characters possess such rich histories,” Tom, 49, told Us. “We have decades and decades of history to draw upon, which is one of the most unique aspects of our genre.”
