Jason Aldean and Wife Brittany Unveil Their First Duet, “Easier Gone”

Jason Aldean and his spouse, Brittany Aldean, are welcoming 2026 with an exciting new collaboration.

The duo has released their inaugural duet titled “Easier Gone” on Friday, January 9.

In the chorus, they sing, “You were easier gone / You were easier outta this town / Hey, I almost had this lettin’ you go thing figured out. Yeah, it was easy to lie / To myself on a Friday night / When I wasn’t face to face with how good you look movin’ on / Yeah, you were easier gone.”

The lyrics narrate a man’s unexpected encounter with an ex at a bar, leading him to wish he had never seen her again.

Jason Aldean’s relationship with Brittany started amidst controversy, and the couple has remained a topic of discussion over the years. The “Dirt Road Anthem” singer had been married to Jessica Ussery for over a decade when he was spotted with Brittany in a bar in September 2012. He later issued […]

“I wish I didn’t know your name / Wish you were just another stranger,” Jason, 48, expresses. “So you walkin’ in this bar wouldn’t put my broken heart in danger / I wish I didn’t know your drink.”

This single is part of his upcoming album, Songs About Us, set to debut on April 24.

While fans may be surprised by Brittany’s musical talent, she previously competed on season 11 of American Idol in 2012.

After impressing judges Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, and Steven Tyler with her cover of “Spoiled” by Joss Stone, Brittany, then an NBA dancer, advanced to Hollywood week before being eliminated.

She later married Jason on a beach in Mexico in March 2015, and they have children Memphis, 8, and Navy, 6. (Jason also has daughters Kelley, 22, and Kendyl, 18, from his previous marriage to Jessica Ussery.)

Leading up to the release of “Easier Gone,” both Jason and Brittany, 37, hinted at an exciting announcement for fans.

“I’ve been hearing a lot of people say they don’t want to wait until April for new music,” Jason teased in an Instagram video on Wednesday, January 7. “So, how about we drop three new songs for you in January? … You’ve been asking for a duet for a while.”

Many country songs explore heartbreak, and the relationships behind them can be equally dramatic. Shania Twain experienced this when her husband of 14 years, Robert “Mutt” Lange, had an affair with her former assistant, Marie-Anne Thiébaud, in May 2008. They ended their relationship shortly after the event.

After the release, the couple received positive feedback from notable figures in country music, including Cole Swindell and Kane Brown.

“Great job you two 💘💘💘💘,” Brittney Kelley commented on the post. Annie Bosko added, “LOVE!!!!!!!! 🔥🔥👏👏👏👏 @brittanyaldean @jasonaldean.”

The heartfelt responses from fans moved Jason and Brittany. They expressed their gratitude in a separate Instagram Story, acknowledging the love for their new release.
