Jason Kelce and Wife Kylie Share Their Insights on Parenting and Raising Daughters
Jason Kelce and his spouse, Kylie Kelce, take great pride in being parents to their daughters—and wouldn’t change it for anything.
The center for the Philadelphia Eagles tied the knot with Kylie in April 2018, nearly three years after they matched on Tinder. Just under a year after their wedding, they celebrated the birth of their first daughter, Wyatt, in October 2019. Their next daughters, Elliotte “Ellie” and Bennett, joined the family in March 2021 and February 2023, respectively.
During the 2022-2023 NFL season, Kylie was expecting Bennett and was due right around the Super Bowl LVII. Jason’s Eagles faced off against his brother Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs in the championship game in February 2023.
“Kylie’s bringing her OB because she’ll be 38 weeks pregnant at the game. That could turn into a super Kelce Bowl,” Jason shared in a prior episode of his “New Heights” podcast before the big game. “If she has a baby in the stadium, it’s officially scripted.”
Kylie’s last few months of pregnancy were documented in Jason’s Kelce film, where she humorously remarked how it would be a “real bonding moment” if she gave birth on the flight to Glendale, Arizona, or even at the stadium.
Bennett was born just weeks after the Eagles’ loss to the Chiefs in the Super Bowl.
In November 2024, Jason and Kylie shared the exciting news that they were expecting baby No. 4, another girl. Finnley, affectionately called “Finn,” arrived in March 2025.

Divide and Conquer
“I’ve been less involved with Bennie because I’ve been focusing on Wyatt and Elliotte,” Jason stated during a September 2023 podcast episode. “You need strategies and techniques to manage.”
Kylie added that her husband “takes care of the toddlers” while she looks after newborn Bennett since Wyatt and Ellie “can communicate.”
Letting “Uncle Travvy” Babysit
Jason and Kylie’s daughters have a special relationship with their Uncle Travis. In the same September 2023 podcast episode, Travis inquired how long he could watch Wyatt, Elliotte, and Bennett.
“I think my headphones cut out,” Kylie joked. “But then, who’s watching you? … I’d probably leave you for an hour. I feel like Travis can handle it better than you can, [Jason]. When it comes to babies like Bennett, she’s happy as long as you’re moving with her. [Jason] won’t make that effort; his back locks up.”
There Are “Strong Kelce Genes”
During the podcast, Jason noted that both Wyatt and Bennie resemble him closely.
“I can definitely say there are strong Kelce genes,” Jason joked. “Ellie looks just like Kylie did as a baby. Wyatt has my personality, and she inherited my brows and furrow. Her facial features are similar, and she is quite emotional.”
Kylie remarked that Ellie tends to be “more easy-going,” which is often seen in second children—similar to her dynamic with Travis.
The “Good Cop” vs. “Bad Cop”
Later in the podcast, Kylie confessed she often takes on the “bad cop” role while Jason plays “good cop.”
“Most days, I have to play the bad cop because I’m outnumbered,” she stated. “I need to keep the peace and prevent injuries, especially when it’s three against one.”
Kylie added that when Jason is home, he typically becomes the “fun one” who launches the girls onto the bed, often leading to one of them crying or calling for “Mom.”
Super Bowl Tickets Aren’t Cheap
“So, I’m getting the maximum number of tickets allowed because that’s what we figured?” Kylie queried Jason in the Kelce documentary released on Prime Video in September 2023. “I don’t even want to calculate this: $50,000. We’re shelling out almost $4,000 for a kid who won’t stay still to watch her dad play; it’s crazy.”
Ultimately, Wyatt and Ellie attended the game, sporting adorable Eagles overall dresses. However, they were upset that their dad didn’t win. “I didn’t want Uncle Travvy to win,” Wyatt joked in the documentary, a sentiment Kylie confirmed she expressed loudly on the bus ride home from the stadium.
Embracing “Girl Dad” Life
“We grew up in a household with zero girls besides Mom [Donna Kelce], so it was very male-dominated,” Jason told E! News in September 2023. “My girls are really young right now, and as a dedicated girl dad, I cherish my girls. They teach me things when I believe I am the one teaching them.”
He further stated, “For instance, I’m reading the kids’ book Oh, The Places You’ll Go! [by] Dr. Seuss, and it’s in the documentary. I feel like I’m gaining more insights from this than they are.”
The Pink Shoes Are the Best Part of the Football Game
In October 2023, Kylie humorously shared via TikTok that Wyatt tried to skip her nap while watching the Eagles afternoon game and noticed AJ Brown’s pink cleats.
“I can assure you, I won’t be wearing pink shoes,” Jason commented in a social media video for the Eagles after seeing the “adorable” clip. “I don’t want her confusing me with AJ. Clever marketing—if you can capture a child’s attention, you can attract everyone else’s too.”
Bleeding Eagles Green
“The girls definitely possess some Chiefs attire for sure. They’ve sported some Chiefs gear,” Jason admitted in an NBC interview in October 2023 when asked about his children’s support for Travis’ team. “They are certainly Eagles fans, but we can be Chiefs fans occasionally.”
A Model of Body Positivity
“I’ve become very conscious about how I speak about myself and my body—not just around my daughters but also in front of my players,” Kylie remarked during a January 2024 appearance on Good Morning America. “It’s crucial to model positive body image talk because then they can learn from our actions.”
Kylie emphasized her hope that her daughters would understand self-kindness through her example. “We aim to highlight a positive tone when discussing body image,” she explained. “For instance, when our daughter touches her belly, I’ll tell her, ‘That’s the most beautiful belly I’ve ever seen.’”
A ‘Humble’ Family
In June 2024, Kylie candidly shared with Us Weekly how she and Jason strive to keep their kids grounded.
“We surround ourselves with family and friends, ensuring our support network is tight-knit,” Kylie expressed. “It’s important that they feel supported and not placed in situations of privilege.”
She continued, “[We’re] making every effort to ensure they drive a [used vehicle] when they turn 16. No hand-me-down cars from Dad. You’re not getting a CyberTruck as a hand-me-down; you’ll be in a basic model, perhaps even cranking the windows down manually.”
It Takes a Village
While recording the premiere episode of her “Not Gonna Lie” podcast, Kylie expressed why she hires babysitters even when Jason is home.
“My husband could tell me 72 times that he’ll be around when I have to leave, and I’ll still arrange for childcare,” Kylie mentioned in December 2024, clarifying it’s not a slight against Jason. “He’s busier than ever; I see him less now in retirement than when he was in the NFL. Back then, we had a set routine, but now it’s completely unpredictable.”
Being a Girl Mom
Kylie, who cherished growing up with her sister, Aubrey, shared with Parents.com that her background has well-prepared her for raising three—soon to be four—daughters, regardless of whether they’re playing nicely together or engaged in spirited tussles.
“Watching our daughters interact is either adorable as they play together or chaotic when they’re on the verge of wrestling, and I have to catch something in midair; it turns into full-on wrestling in the living room,” she mentioned in a February 2025 interview. “But I love every moment.”
Jason shares this sentiment, with Kylie noting that he hopes their daughters will emulate his passion for playing youth hockey.
“My husband is really eager for them to learn ice hockey,” she stated. “He had a great time with it himself.”
