Jason Kelce Shares Hilarious Take on Daughter Bennett’s Naptime Struggles
Jason Kelce notices several resemblances in his daughters, including their nap-taking habits.
“Me after drinking Garages all afternoon,” Kelce, 37, captioned a Saturday, June 7, Instagram photo of his daughter Bennett, age 2, peacefully asleep.
Jason, who co-owns Garage Beer with his brother Travis Kelce, is the proud father of Bennett and three other daughters with his wife Kylie Kelce. (Jason and Kylie, 33, are also parents to Wyatt, 5, Ellie, 4, and Finn, who was born in March.)
In the photograph, Bennett is lying on her back in her toddler bed, dressed in a blue dress and white sneakers, with a pink pacifier in her mouth. She had tossed aside a dark-green blanket and had her head tilted to the side.
“It’s the body placement for me,” sportscaster Erin Andrews commented on Instagram, while fellow TV journalist Charissa Thompson chimed in with, “Same girl.”
Kylie showed her support by subtly liking her husband’s post.
Bennett’s napping habits likely reflect Jason, who famously dozed off on his first date with Kylie. In their self-titled Kelce documentary, Kylie shared that her now-husband “blacked out” when they first met face-to-face.
“He fell asleep 45 minutes after I arrived at the bar,” Kylie recounted on a September 2023 episode of Jason and Travis’ “New Heights” podcast. “He had too much to drink, and then [his former Eagles teammate] Beau Allen pulled off the most remarkable physical feat of his life by fireman-carrying Jason back to his apartment.”
Jason later acknowledged that he “definitely” ended up falling asleep during that first date.
“I might have had a few too many drinks, but I was still sober enough to realize [she] was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen,” he humorously recalled. “It was love at first sight. … I didn’t believe in love at first sight until I met [her] and it was as if fireworks erupted the moment she walked into Buffalo Billiards.”
Jason redeemed himself on a second date, leading to their wedding a few years later in April 2018 and the arrival of their four daughters.
“Now I’m more experienced,” Jason told Us Weekly at the Amazon upfronts last month, reflecting on his life as a girl dad. “Travis and I didn’t grow up with sisters or any female cousins, so I wasn’t around many young girls. It’s been a new experience for me, but now it feels pretty normal.”
