Jason Tartick Reveals He Spotted Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce on a Date Night in NYC

The Bachelorette alum Jason Tartick is a true Swiftie — and for very good reason.

“Well, I didn’t technically meet her, but I was at a table right here in this booth while she was in the next one for two hours with less than 85 people in the room,” Tartick, 37, shared in a video on Instagram on Friday, November 7, revealing that he encountered Taylor Swift and her fiancé, Travis Kelce, during their outing on Thursday, November 6, in New York City.

“I’m telling you, for two hours, I was just this far from her. It was incredible,” he continued. “First of all, I thought it was cool how private the room was, with about 8,500 people. No photos, no one approached their table. While it was a bit disheartening, it also piqued my curiosity about the privacy they had in that room, knowing that the moment they stepped outside… paparazzi would be waiting. After taking in two hours of her energy, her glow, her presence in the room, you just couldn’t take your eyes off her.”

Swift, 35, was also “sporting her iconic red lipstick,” Tartick noted, adding that she “had the watch, and her new ring was absolutely dazzling.”

“There was something so humble, genuine, and pure about her, yet there was also an undeniable light,” he described, mentioning that the couple “were adorable” during their time in the restaurant.

When a commenter asked if he “overheard anything juicy,” Tartick replied, “Haha no, and even if I did, I wouldn’t share it. I was truly amazed by how present she was. It felt like there was nothing else going on except for the people in front of her. My favorite moment was when her drink finished, so she reached over and took his drink for a big gulp. Legend!” alongside a raised hand emoji.

Swift and Travis were spotted together in New York City on Thursday, just a day after they were seen walking hand in hand to dinner at The Polo Bar.

Swift and Kelce announced their engagement in August after two years of dating.

“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” Swift captioned an Instagram post featuring photos from the proposal, which took place at Kelce’s home following her debut on his hit podcast.

“He really nailed it in surprising me. While we were chatting on his podcast, he had an entire garden built in the back of his house for the proposal,” Swift shared during an interview on The Graham Norton Show in October. “He went all out — 10 out of 10.”

Although the couple has provided little information about a wedding date or details, a source exclusively told Us Weekly in September that they are in the “early planning stages” of the process. “There is no venue or location set yet,” said the insider, adding that the wedding is likely to be held early in 2026.

“[Swift] is having a lot of fun researching venues and locations,” the source added. “She’s in the ideation phase and enjoying it because she’s incredibly creative.”

They continued: “They don’t want a grand, extravagant wedding with a large crowd. It will be private, with just friends and family—not a ton of celebrities or random guests. It will be meaningful, surrounded by loved ones. Despite their celebrity status, they are down-to-earth and ordinary. They aren’t looking for a $20 million fantasy wedding. She wants to avoid all the pomp and circumstance.”
