Jeff Lewis Critiques the Fashion Choices of The Real Housewives of Orange County Stars

Jeff Lewis isn’t shy about expressing his thoughts on fashion.

The candid host, 55, critiqued the stars of The Real Housewives of Orange County during his Jeff Lewis Live radio show on Thursday, October 23, claiming that their skin-baring outfits in Amsterdam were excessively provocative during a candid exchange with Shannon Beador.

“How can we convey to your fellow castmates that they need to start dressing more appropriately?” Lewis inquired of Beador, 61. “The outfits from Amsterdam were astonishing.”

Beador explained they were encouraged to push fashion limits due to their destination, so she wore leather leggings and over-the-knee boots, “thinking that’s as sexy as I’m getting” during the trip that aired in season 19.

“I genuinely think many of your castmates dress rather inappropriately,” he stressed.

For perspective, Tamra Judge wore a collared black-and-white tee tucked into leather mini shorts and knee-high boots, while Jennifer Pedranti chose a black bodysuit with sheer lace sleeves and panels for an edgy look.

Shannon Beador is doing her best to avoid escalating drama. During the Monday, March 17, episode of SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live, the Real Housewives of Orange County star refrained from revealing too much about season 19. “We started filming in February,” Beador, 60, shared with host Jeff Lewis, confirming there’s a lot more to unfold.

Heather Dubrow also sported a similar look, wearing lace pants with a black jacket that featured coordinating fabric on the sleeves.

Emily Simpson opted for a classy sleeveless black dress with dramatic cutouts at the midsection and hips, showcasing some skin while maintaining a polished look. Gretchen Rossi made an appearance in a black turtleneck and leather skirt with gold buttons, sheer tights, and black boots, completing her ensemble with a white fluffy coat.

Gina Kirschenheiter opted for a “naughty schoolgirl vibe” in a black long-sleeve top and plaid skirt, complemented by black pointed-toe pumps.

Lewis expressed strong disapproval of the outfits, stating, “I believe it’s time to dress your age … it’s time to start covering up.”

Beador defended her co-stars, explaining that it was “planned for us to see the windows in the Red Light District,” so they dressed accordingly for that occasion.

Following his comments on X, numerous fans shared their thoughts. “I truly believe women should wear what they want … but sometimes we may miss the mark 😉💐,” one user commented.

Another noted their dislike for the outfits but insisted that “they should wear what they desire, no matter what anyone thinks. Jeff should keep his opinions to himself regarding what women of ANY age are wearing.”

“Shannon’s explanation makes sense and clarifies their fashion choices,” a third fan commented. “If they had been in the windows, it would have been really fun, and their outfits would have been spot on!”

Earlier this month, Tamra, 58, attracted attention for her own fashion commentary when she criticized Lesley Beador’s “cringe” Halloween outfit.

David Beador’s wife notably transformed into a RHOC character leading up to Halloween, donning a black dress, heels, gold jewelry, and an orange in her left hand. (Although Lesley hasn’t appeared on the show, her husband’s ex-wife, Shannon, has been a consistent presence for multiple seasons.)

“I typically don’t comment on her,” Tamra said on the October 9 episode of iHeartRadio’s “Two T’s in a Pod” podcast. “Is she attempting to imitate Shannon [Beador]? That’s just odd.”
