Jenna Bush Hager Cuts Her Bob Just ‘2 Minutes’ Before Going Live

Jenna Bush Hager embraces last-minute hair makeovers.

This past Tuesday, November 11, the 43-year-old Bush Hager took to Instagram to share a behind-the-scenes video of her hairstylist Chris McMillan trimming her hair just minutes before appearing on the Today Show.

“You know how it goes when he’s here,” she remarked as McMillan, known for working with stars like Jennifer Aniston and Leslie Bibb, sectioned her blonde hair to refresh her bob style.

McMillan, 58, quipped that they “don’t waste time” together, adding, “We get right to it.”

As McMillan finished trimming her ends, Bush Hager exclaimed, “Only two minutes until we go live!”

McMillan ran his fingers through her hair, declaring, “Look! We’re ready to roll! I’m pleased.”

Bush Hager swiftly removed her cape and dashed inside the studio, while McMillan brushed off the stray hairs from her top with a blow dryer.

“A fresh trim just nine minutes before the show starts? No problem! 😉,” she captioned her post. “@mrchrismcmillan nailed it as always! #jennaandfriends.”

Her followers quickly complimented her new trim in the comments. “That haircut is absolutely adorable on you!!” one fan raved, while another praised, “Jenna, I love that you’re keeping the bob!” A third commented, “I adore the bob. Jenna looks fantastic.”

This isn’t the first time Bush Hager has changed her style on Today. In June, she cut off her long hair during an appearance by Bibb, 51, and McMillan.

Inspired by Bibb’s blunt bob in preparation for filming The White Lotus in Thailand, Bush Hager decided to go for a similar haircut. At the end of the show, she sat down while McMillan started cutting her locks.

“You’re such a badass, you’re so cool. I love this,” Bibb said, cheering for the talk show host, as she handed Bush Hager a piece of her cut hair.

“Wow, that’s really short,” she marveled at her new look. “You’ll see the full look tomorrow,” she promised her viewers.

Bush Hager also mentioned that her kids weren’t in favor of her trendy haircut. “My daughter said, ‘Mom, don’t do it. You’ll regret it,’” she recalled. (Jenna shares daughters Mila, 13, Poppy, 9, and son Hal, 5, with her husband Henry Chase Hager.)

McMillan reassured her that the style was “modern and sexy.”

The next day, Jenna revealed to Bibb, who was guest hosting her show, how her family reacted to her new look.

Mila quickly expressed that she didn’t “like” the bob, while Poppy asked, “Why would you do that?” Hal, on the other hand, burst into tears.

Bibb joked, “Are those real tears? Your kids are monsters. They started crying!” She added that Jenna’s bob was “sexy, powerful, and glamorous.”

Jenna reassured Bibb that her son was “fake crying,” which was Hal’s particular way of showing affection.

While the kids were not fans of her new hairstyle, Henry, 47, told her it was “hot.”
