Jenna Ortega’s Hair and Makeup Secrets from Wednesday
The creative team responsible for Jenna Ortega’s evolution into Wednesday Addams recently released a behind-the-scenes video showcasing their entire process.
They detailed how they styled Ortega’s striking black locks into her iconic hairstyle for season 2 of Wednesday in a new TikTok video shared on Thursday, September 4.
To start, they carefully combed through the actress’ hair to achieve a sleek look before masterfully braiding it. They also secured her curtain bangs to prevent any movement during filming. While her makeup was being applied, the glam squad added a prosthetic scar to the back of Ortega’s part.
To create a flawless finish, they used a black brush to blend strands of hair into the prosthetic and added fake blood to the center to enhance the scar’s depth.
For a final touch, the team added faux staples to the prosthetic to give the impression it had been treated. Ortega’s glam also included faux cuts on her face and additional staples near her bangs.
“Jenna Ortega’s transformation into Wednesday in part 2,” the team captioned the post. Fans quickly remarked on how they missed the scar while watching the latest episodes, released via Netflix on Wednesday, September 3.
“Stop, am I the only one who never noticed that behind the head 😭😭,” one commented, while another added, “If you watch closely, there are only a few clips in episode 5 where her head is in frame and you can see [the cuts].” A third remarked, “Oh wow, I didn’t even realize Wednesday had a wound.”
Wednesday sustained her injuries after the season 2 part 1 finale, when Tyler “The Hyde” Galpin (Hunter Doohan) threw her out of a window, leaving fans on a cliffhanger for part 2 of the season.
