Jennifer Lawrence Discusses Plastic Surgery and Life After Motherhood
Jennifer Lawrence is being refreshingly honest about her cosmetic enhancements, discussing her thoughts on plastic surgery and her plans for a boob job after the arrival of baby No. 2.
The Die My Love star, 35, revealed that she receives Botox during an interview with The New Yorker published on Monday, October 27. She mentioned that she is cautious with her approach since being expressive is crucial for her acting roles.
In the same discussion, Lawrence explained her decision to avoid fillers—like Restylane and Juvéderm—emphasizing how they can appear on camera.
When the topic of a facelift arose, Lawrence confirmed she has not undergone one yet but is open to the idea in the future. “Believe me, I’m gonna!” she stated.
Looking ahead, the Hunger Games actress revealed her plans for a boob job (possibly in November) after welcoming her second child with husband Cooke Moroney earlier this year.
“After the first one, everything bounced back pretty much,” Lawrence shared. “This time, nothing bounced back.” (It was reported in April that she welcomed baby No. 2, a son whose name is yet to be disclosed. Lawrence and Cooke, 40, married in October 2019 and have a 3-year-old son named Cy.)
Lawrence mentioned that she is factoring in recovery time, as she will appear nude on camera again in the spring. “Maybe I wouldn’t be rushing to the appointment as much,” she said regarding whether she would choose to undergo augmentation if she weren’t an actress. “But I think yes.”
In the interview, Lawrence also elaborated on her upcoming film with Robert Pattinson, Die My Love, discussing the film’s departure from Ariana Harwicz’s original book.
“Grace, a writer and young mother, is gradually descending into madness. Confined in an old house in Montana, we witness her growing agitation and erratic behavior, which leaves her partner, Jackson, increasingly worried and powerless,” according to the IMDB description.
In the novel, her character is portrayed as “distant” and borderline abusive towards her child, but Lawrence felt this portrayal did not resonate with her and Pattinson, 39.
“Once Rob and I began performing our scenes, it transformed into a representation of what many postpartum women feel, where you’re not angry at your baby—you’re frustrated with your f***ing husband, who can just head to the gym,” she added.
Before this interview, Lawrence discussed the transformative impact of motherhood on her life, both personally and professionally.
“Having children changes everything; it transforms your entire life,” she noted during a press conference at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival in May. “It’s both brutal and incredible. They influence every decision regarding my work—when and where I take on projects.”
“I never realized I could feel so deeply, and my job significantly involves emotion,” she admitted. “They’ve broadened my perspective on the world.”
