Jennifer Lopez Celebrates Her Twins’ 17th Birthday with Heartfelt Video

Jennifer Lopez is feeling sentimental as her twins, Max and Emme, celebrate another birthday.

Lopez, 55, posted a delightful video montage of her children on Instagram on Saturday, February 22, marking their 17th birthday. The montage showcased moments from both their childhood and recent times, featuring Max and Emme, whom she shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony.

“Seventeen. I love you more than forever 🥥🥥,” read Lopez’s caption, adorned with emojis that reference her enduring nickname for the twins.

“I called them coconuts because, naturally, they are twins, and there are two of them. When they were in the crib and so small, their hair resembled the fluffy hair of a coconut,” Lopez explained on Live with Kelly and Mark in February 2022. “The name just stuck.”

“I like to believe that they appreciate the nickname,” she added.

For the 17th birthday tribute, Lopez included personal images of Max and Emme throughout the years, featuring everything from their toddler days to their teenage moments. She accompanied the montage with Miley Cyrus’ “Edge of Midnight (Midnight Sky Remix)” featuring Stevie Nicks.

Lopez gave birth to the twins in February 2008 while still married to Anthony, now 56. (Their divorce was finalized in June 2014.) She subsequently entered long-term relationships with dancer Casper Smart and former MLB player Alex Rodriguez before marrying Ben Affleck in 2023—20 years after their initial engagement. She filed for divorce from Affleck, 52, in August 2024, with the split finalized earlier this year.

Reflecting on her role in Unstoppable in December 2024, Lopez shared with Entertainment Weekly her struggles with feeling “enough” for her kids as a single parent. (Lopez portrays Anthony Robles’ mother in the boxing biopic.)

“At times, I’ve been a single mom, and I’ve questioned, ‘Am I enough for them?’ The reality is that sometimes you only need one loving parent,” she stated, adding, “That’s the message the movie imparted: You are enough.”

Lopez and Anthony continue to co-parent as best as they can, despite challenges with his residing on the East Coast, as she mentioned in a 2022 interview with Vogue. Nevertheless, in 2019, Anthony posted a picture of the two parents holding Emme’s hand on the way to a recital, captioning it, “Nothing but love between us. @jlo.”

“Marc and I are in a good place together right now,” Lopez shared regarding their co-parenting dynamics in a March 2017 appearance on The View. “There’s a reason we’re not together romantically, but we remain great friends and co-parents. We even collaborate on a Spanish album, which has strengthened our bond. We are at our best when we work together, especially on stage, and that’s where we keep it.”

Anthony also has daughter Arianna, 30, and son Chase, 28, with ex-girlfriend Debbie Rosado, sons Cristian, 24, and Ryan, 21, with ex-wife Dayanara Torres, and a 20-month-old son Marco with wife Nadia Ferreira.
